Dyson is rapidly expanding; in its new and core categories, and across all of its global markets with turnover up 40% to £3.5bn and profits up 27% to £801m.

The next few years are going to be Dyson’s biggest and busiest yet. All thanks to a £2.5 billion commitment to its future technology pipeline.

Dyson will recruit thousands more engineers over the next few years. And this growth in engineering will need the support of more new people across other functions around the world.

Dyson’s head count is set to grow significantly as it expands into new markets, and launches into more categories. It is currently looking to fill an additional 300 automotive vacancies in the UK.

But the goal is not simply about people and growth.  It’s about better ideas, better technologies, better performance and better ways to work, across more new markets and bright new categories. While engineering and technology remains at the core, a passion for problem solving now runs throughout the entire business.

With this pace of growth, these ambitious plans, and the complexities of global expansion, it is natural that Dyson is now thinking about the best ways to organise itself globally and manage its exciting new product ranges to best effect.  With APAC now being over half of our global business the biggest growth region, we need to question where and how we invest to underpin the future.

Dyson is intent on growing both existing and new categories across multiple channels, with goals to continually improve performance in floorcare, environmental control, lighting and more recently, beauty and personal care.  All new categories launched need to run effectively, efficiently and successfully.



We are looking for someone to lead our communications in India, and tell the story of a company that has transformed, and continues to transform itself. As a Senior Communications Manager you will have outstanding relationships with top tier media, an innate ability to tell inspiring stories, and a leadership style that inspires and motivates a talented team.


•As a Senior Communications Manager you will devise implements and oversee world class communications strategies for India and provide strategic communications advice to the Dyson India Leadership team. •You will devise and implement excellent external communications strategies focused on telling stories around our core technology, our products, our people, our places, and the Dyson philosophy. •You will oversee a programme of proactive media to build Dyson’s reputation as an innovating engineering company focused on our customer’s wellbeing. •As a Senior Communications Manager you will be responsible for identifying emerging issues and opportunities facing the organization, and design strategies to manage their impact. •You will own the voice of Dyson in India and ensure a consistently high level of execution across all channels. •You’ll also oversee the monitoring, analysis and response to press coverage and social media interactions on a timely basis and across a wide spectrum of media


•As a Senior Communications Manager you will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in either an in-house function or working for a communications agency. •You’ll come with demonstrable experience in building relationships with top tier reporters and editors in India, and in successfully positioning subject matter with the media to achieve high-impact placements. •You will also have extensive leadership experience and the ability to support and nurture a talented communications team. •As the Senior Communications Manager you will have the ability to build and effect change at both a people and process level. You will be able to identify a problem and create an innovative solution. •You’ll have broad category or client experience and will have worked with a variety of products, brands or customers. •You will also be fluent in English (written and spoken). •You’ll be degree educated with a bachelor’s degree or higher.



•Excellent storytelling ability, brilliant interpersonal skills and robust commercial understanding. •Ability to inspire and manage teams, with varying complex challenges, spread across geographies and time zones. •Calm under pressure, resilient and with a track-record of good judgement, and an ability to get things done. •Unafraid to challenge, be challenged, and ask/answer difficult questions. •Willingness to admit when wrong and accept an alternative strategy. •Tenacity and persistence in pursing answers to problems and comfortable with change and ambiguity.   •An ability to influence at the highest levels through clear, informed and logical argument and discussion, tempered by a sense of humour. •The utmost discretion: tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential issues and situations. •Fastidious in organisation and with vision and purposes as well as an eye for the detail.
