Description

The Senior Finance Manager, Analytics and Insight, leads a team of finance and BI analysts to provide a range of performance insight across financial and non financial data, using best in class visualisation and BI tools. The role supports Category, Commercial and Group teams with a range of analysis, from market share to post launch performance tracking.

Accountabilities

  • Definition and monitoring of key KPIs, including delivery of the monthly group scorecard to the CEO
  • Spokesperson for Group Finance on matters of data strategy and governance
  • Prioritise and lead the delivery of the Group Finance BI roadmap, working with key stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver analytics and reporting solutions that deliver insight and value to the business
  • Group Finance lead in relationship with GDS, ensuring that we have a pipeline of structured data products to support our analytics
  • Lead the delivery of BI content that is customised to Executive and Board requirements; is visually appealing and runs quickly
  • Work with market finance teams to support standardisation and delivery of BI tools globally, providing technical expertise to partner market teams where required
  • Provide global insight to key category / commercial stakeholders, including leading the analysis of post launch performance via delivery of holistic performance dashboards
  • Global relationship manager for GFK, leading market share strategy and insight
  • Support Commercial team with reporting and insight around market share, competitor performance, market pricing etc.

Skills

Essential:
  • Good commercial awareness, particularly around principles of good performance reporting
  • Passion for good data visualisation and an awareness of what good (and bad!) BI looks like
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex ideas in simple terms and influence thinking to steer outcomes towards strategic solutions
  • Ability to interact confidently with very senior stakeholders
  • Experience of project delivery/ business change
  • Appreciation of the role of systems within business operations and the impacts of major change
  • Determined to identify solutions and prepared to overcome obstacles to follow through to completion
  • Working with IT teams to turn business requirements into system specifications
  • Reviewing business processes/ data sets and identifying areas for improvement
  • Competent at training/presenting (virtually and in-person) whilst thinking on the spot to provide answers
