Senior Financial Analyst, B2B

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will act as a business partner supporting the B2B Channel, providing financial leadership through value added financial reporting, planning and analysis. In addition you will own Dyson Canada relationship with Dyson Headquarters in UK for Financial Reporting.

This is a fixed term contract position (~9-10 months)


Specifically, you will -

  • Work with the B2B Sales Director to develop annual budgets. Support analysis and financial impact of key strategies and initiatives; identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support B2B team  in understanding of financials and develop opportunities to improve profitability of the channel.

  •  Responsible for analysing monthly business results and issuing the required reports, analysis and reconciliation. Recommend corrective action if tracking short of business targets as well as understand and challenge monthly variances where necessary.

  • Own total Dyson Canada month end schedules, P&L submission to UK head office via One Stream.

  • Provide direction and coaching to financial analyst on month-end process including P&L productions and analysis of variances vs. latest estimate.

  • Support corporate financial systems and implementations.

  • You will be located in downtown Toronto, just a few blocks from the CN Tower and steps away from some of the world's best venues, restaurants, shops, and the underground path.


A dynamic, enthusiastic and collaborative professional who –
  • Has a university degree, with a finance or accounting concentration
  • Is an MBA graduate and/or has obtained a recognized accounting qualification

  • Has 4+ years’ experience in financial analysis for marketing or sales departments.

  • Is able to demonstrate advanced analytical skills in MS Excel and SAP

  • Has a proven understanding of commercial finance

  • Strong Leadership skills

  • Is able to build strong relationships across the business

  • Works well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Finds process improvements and efficiencies

  • Manages time exceptionally well, is able to balance and execute multiple priorities

  • Has high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Identifies creative solutions to business problems

  • Acts as a role model for Dyson Behaviours and the Dyson Spirit
