To be successful within the Claims, Standards and Insights team you need to be a team player with imagination and a good work ethic. In addition, a self-starter- able to pick things up and happy to explore opportunities without a rigid framework and prioritisation. As individuals within a fast-paced creative environment you will need to manage your stakeholders and their expectations.  Your input will help steer projects through the development milestone process and work with local marketing teams to implement profitable range and pricing strategies and manage successful product launches.  Business success will depend on the part you play!

As a Senior Insight Manager, you will be responsible to drive the insight strategy for Dyson and manage at least one other Insight Manager or Insight Executive.


  • Be responsible for owning, devising and delivering the insight programme for a Dyson platforms & channels. Ensuring learnings are embedded across the relevant teams 
  • Assist with ‘lobbying’ at the budgeting and planning phase, so that projects can be fully supported by the appropriate team
  • Seek to further develop our end to end campaign testing capabilities with internal stakeholders and enhance our cross media approach with actionable evaluations 
  • Sharing best practice in the field of research 
  • Spotting opportunities and following them through
  • Working with the User Trials Manager/Centre of Excellence to set-up and support of in-market product trials and immersions throughout the milestone process so that the appropriate procedures are followed and data is captured, recorded and fed back to the correct audience  
  • Projects to support product managers, commercial managers, Direct, Digital, Retail, Creative teams, RDD and Markets 
  • Deployment, analysis and delivery of Lifecycle surveys to existing Dyson owners to understand their satisfaction or what we can do to improve
  • Coaching markets, building relationships with departments, influencing a broad range of Dyson employees
  • Coaching commercial managers in best use of research and insight so as to deliver product propositions 
  • Line management and personal development of either insight manager[s] or insight exec[s] within a related category


  • Excellent numeracy skills and ability to analyse complex quantitative data
  • Self-motivated and able to resolve conflict, inspire teams, mentor peers, and promote best practice 
  • Seeking opportunities and finding new ways to overcome challenges
  • Ability to collaborate / communicate with people at all levels of the business and in different markets
  • Tenacious in striving  to get the best results in the right way
  • Good at identifying key themes and opportunities and at the right time narrowing down and polishing ideas
  • Ability to receive briefs and design research solutions that meet key business objectives
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks across multiple projects and ability to push back on projects that do not provide good value for money / will not deliver strategic insights
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in research techniques- experience with setting up and running multi-market projects would be advantageous 
  • Good agency management skills (ability to manage agency including on more complex projects) 
  • Professional/loyal and diligent/conscientious
  • Familiarity with SPSS and Snap survey software, and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills advantageous 
  • Proven market research / relevant experience 
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/ Masters in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Engineering, Science related subject or equivalent
  • MRS/ESOMAR affiliation is desirable but not essential
