Senior Marketing Manager

As the Senior Marketing Manager you will be accountable for the Floorcare category within the UK market. Working with the Head of Floorcare, you will assist with setting plans, and complete efficient execution of the brand building and communication strategy for Floorcare products. Project focus will include a mix of product development, campaign management, customer marketing and media planning responsibilities.


  • Implement core marketing plan to deliver 2020 sales targets providing monthly performance reviews and optimisation recommendations to the Exec 
  • Deliver an innovative media plan that creates clear blue water between Dyson and the competition to re-establish our market leadership credentials
  • Implement a test and learn programme looking at the impact on conversion of channel tailored creative and to demonstrate how frequently creative should be changed to deliver best impact in all channels.
  • Champion new approach to range segmentation to simplify range trade up and shopability focusing on both in-store and online retail executions in the first instance but focusing also on differentiating based on visual and claims positioning with a focus on conversion
  • Assess competitor model for owner engagement making recommendations on short, medium and long term strategies to improve retention and how we might better engage with owners
  • Scope the investment model needed to drive improved customer retention at point of replacement
  • Challenge and Optimise the strategic plans and core business activities to benefit the Floorcare Category
  • Seek improved ways of working across owned and earned social channels and PR to deliver a new model for delivering quality positive coverage across FC and the corporate brand building activities
  • Establish an evidence based approach to creative development focusing on matching creative innovation to the media innovation being driven for 2020


  • Coming in to this role, you will have consumer marketing experience ideally in a premium brand or technology environment
  • You will have experience of driving product strategy on a local scale, and have experience working with central marketing functions
  • You will have been at the forefront of driving customer engagement and thought leadership within your recent roles
  • You will have experience managing media agencies and implementing media plans whilst understanding the GB landscape
  • As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will have the ability to challenge the status quo, and deliver innovating solutions to the problems that we face
