Social Media Operations Manager

The Social Media Operations Manager will own the operations of managing our presence across all Dyson social channels. They will own and manage best practice account management, advising and supporting local markets.Playing a key role within the Social Media team, you will work with stakeholders across the business to ensure our channels are managed effectively and efficiently.


  • Oversee all social ecosystem operations – maintaining a lean social architecture by monitoring existing processes and improving them
  • Shaping, documenting and implementing the way we work across Social Media globally
  • Global ownership of all account structures and passwords – partnering with IT and Security teams
  • Ensuring governance of processes and systems is maintained by local teams
  • Evaluation of new platforms and management of processes and governance for roll out of new platforms 
  • Ensuring tagging and monitoring systems are properly adopted to enable efficient tracking
  • Managing the account closing process and communications
  • Reviewing/responding to new account opening requests
  • Manage optimisation of processes of uploading content to global channels – particularly YouTube
  • Monitoring for and managing unapproved account openings
  • Own the creation and management of any bots
  • Roll out of new tools and systems as required to maintain the health of our systems and tools (eg. Sprinklr modules)
  • Sourcing and managing offshore resource as needed to ensure operational efficiency
  • Working closely with cross functional teams on global launches – including running global war rooms
  • Participate and contribute to strategic planning meetings
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships across the global social leadership team
  • Be the go to person for all things technical and operations
  • Managing roll out of tests with cross functional teams eg. Custom audiences with the legal and media team
  • Audit all social media tools and identify areas for consolidation, improvement, and cost savings
  • Work with Social Media Analyst, Paid Social Media Lead, Sprinklr PM and Social Community Manager to support their roles
  • Provide additional coordination support to European markets 
  • Act as a lynchpin between media and social media teams


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a social marketing environment 
  • Familiarity with the social media landscape
  • Proven experience of customer experience
  • Proven media including paid social advertising experience
  • Proven experience managing social media planning and listening tools, ideally Sprinklr
  • Experience of managing external agencies and suppliers
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive with ability to work both with minimal supervision and as part of a team environment
  • Strong planning and project management skills and good analytical skills
  • Ability to work swiftly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to keep a level head and maintain grace under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Interest and initiative to innovate Dyson’s social media practices and bring them to the next level
  • Knowledge of creative design processes


  • CIM or other equivalent marketing qualification
  • Foreign language skills beyond English desirable but not essential
  • PR experience
  • Experience of working with in house product and engineering teams, in particular being able to influence global road maps and getting work prioritised
