Description

Are you looking for your first step towards becoming a Scrum Master? You'll work within the RDD Software Tools & Process team, which defines and develops new solutions within the context of the product development & business processes as well as drive continuous improvement within existing processes and solutions.
You'll support the Tools & Process team by performing Scrum Master activities and resolving work tasks linked to tools configuration and testing. The number of people using the Atlassian suite of tools in Dyson is growing, with approximately 2000 active users. The use of Jira, Confluence and other tools within the Atlassian family is continually expanding to support an agile development model across all sectors of the business.
You'll work to deliver world class technical solutions to issues & problems, improvements & enhancements, as well as delivering additional capabilities and applications to support the use of the Atlassian tools and applications within Dyson.

Accountabilities

  • Best practice around estimation, release planning and execution and communication of progress
  • Help to optimise the efficiency of the teams development processes and projects
  • Ensure the team has clear achievable objectives and providing support meeting those objectives
  • Drive communication across the function in conjunction with the other heads of department
  • Monitor and respond to support requests and alerts Liaise with IT & delivery teams within the software organisation
  • Project Manage implementation of new functionality & tools delivery to the SW organisation
  • Develop scripts to automate ways to manage the system and links with other systems
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Atlassian products, process best practices and obtain and maintain certification with the various Atlassian products
  • Engaged in business level discussions to understand the system requirements and translate to technical requirements for capability and configuration of Atlassian

Skills

  • Basic Atlassian experience using JIRA, Confluence, Portfolio, HipChat, Bamboo
  • Experience with Linux, Python, Java software programming and SQL database querying/scripting
  • Working knowledge of either Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience of working in Agile, Lean or Continuous Delivery teams 
  • Good communicator and collaborator, able to share your skills with others
  • Demonstrate a passion for technology and an ability to adapt to difference scenarios
