Description

The role

The role will be responsible for leading the design of Dysons Integration landscape in respect of our manufacturing capability;

 

  • Integration Approach / Strategy – Definition of the architectural approach / strategy to an integration capability

  • Integration Tooling Implementation – provide the architectural input to the selection and implementation of a future state integration capability

  • Integration Governance – take a leading role in ensuring that we have a clear line of integration governance moving forwards that can ensure an enduring and sustainable integration landscape

  • Enterprise Level Alignment – Your role will need to work closely with Dyson’s wider Enterprise Function to ensure cross-tower alignment on our integration activities

Accountabilities

The role will require interaction with external teams / contacts outside of IT to include;

  • Working with business stakeholders to understand business plans that might drive the architecture for the integration landscape.

  • Identification of options to address business and technical challenges and fill gaps between business strategy and application capabilities

  • Communicating design decisions to key stakeholders to ensure the architecture is understood, opportunities for improvement are identified and delivery of the correct solution is achieved

  • Working with third parties and partners to understand future trends, innovation and opportunities for the integration landscape.

Essential:


  • A proven track record of integration architecture is essential

  • Experience of the full software delivery lifecycle and complex heterogeneous systems environments.

  • With regards to the systems landscape experience of the following is essential;

    • Knowledge of integration platforms – Dell Boomi / Mulesoft / Informatica

    • Knowledge of integration methodologies / approaches

  • Understanding of security principles and policies ensuring these are applied to the design of solutions

  • Able to act as a liaison between technical, functional and support functions both on and offshore

  • Comfortable working in technical and non-technical environments and be able to traverse these with ease

  • Ability to stay informed of technological developments and understand their applicability to Dyson business problems and opportunities

  • Ability to identify technology, functionality and methods that could be of significant benefit to Dyson and drive those through into successful implementation.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements.

  • Ability to prioritize improvements based on the business benefit.

  • Ability to remain commercially aware, keeping this continually in mind when taking actions or making decisions. Being able to put the business first and make hard decisions.

A strong grounding in general technical architecture to include hosting (On Premise & Cloud), storage and network
