Senior E-Commerce Manager (Italy)


Milan - Italy


The Senior e-commerce manager will be at the helm of driving continuous digital customer journey improvements, critical in delivering our stretching revenue and profit targets over the coming years. S/he will help deliver the strategic direction of the digital business plan. Accountable for the direct online business, charged with performance analytics and reporting, as well as driving new digital business initiatives. Work with MD and Group Ecommerce Director to define and align local strategy to Market and Global direction.


Key Accountabilities: 
  • Responsible for building and executing a differentiated strategy for Dyson (Italy) based upon customer insights, product category needs and digital capabilities
  • Ensure that Dyson.it delivers a premium experience that strengthens the brand and delivers against transformation goals
  • Obsess over the details to ensure Dyson.it always sets the standard across the market
  • Strengthen “why Dyson.it” value proposition through differentiated e-commerce strategies
  • Use advanced content strategies, targeting technologies and analytics to deliver personalised experiences across target audiences
  • Collaborate with corporate IT and digital as well as other cross-functional teams to deliver next generation capabilities and roadmap for Dyson.it
Responsible for delivering the e-commerce financial goals for Dyson (Italy)
  • Deliver and exceed the growth objectives for Dyson. and the overall direct business across product categories
  • Coordinate the Digital Analyst to report on performance, insights and optimisations on a periodic basis to all levels of the organisation
Manage new product launch planning and execution
  • Lead all product launch planning on Dyson (Italy) in collaboration with global digital teams as well as category teams
  • Ensure on time, flawless execution of all products, content and experiences on Dyson (Italy)
  • Partner with category teams to ensure integrated plan across paid, owned and earned media
Lead development of online merchandising strategies to drive engagement and commerce
  • Identify & implement opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell consumers within the customer journeys
  • Build processes, calendars to communicate Dyson.it merchandising plans to various teams across the organisation
  • Manage all content publishing on Dyson.it to ensure quality, accuracy and best in class SEO performance at all times
  • Develop profitable online programs including eCommerce range planning, promotions, and merchandising solutions to elevate the Dyson brand.
  • Represent Dyson.it in integrated business planning process on a weekly basis
  • Ensure that Dyson.it best practices and insights are shared with other retailers where appropriate
Partner with digital marketing manager to deliver seamless experience across on and off site
  • Ensure close collaboration on campaigns, paid, earned and social media strategies to deliver seamless experience across all product categories
Develop and execute testing roadmap
  • Responsible for building a culture of continuous learning through on-going testing, measurement and optimisation on Dyson (Italy)
Live the brand, foster a culture of team work and collaboration
  • Be an active subject matter expert on all things digital
  • Support and mentor team members
  • Write briefs for the central Web delivery team to develop content and capabilities
  • Ensure that all Dyson communications are compliant from an IP, legal & product team perspective
  • Digital project management
  • Perform QA on all product and offer launches online.
  • Relish the opportunities to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
  • Identify problems and find solutions


  • Significant online marketing experience with a major, transactional E-Commerce Web site
  • At least 4 years of experience working in digital management role with responsibilities including leading teams, managing large scale projects, and launching new products
  • Online customer experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience working with a major Web analytics and reporting tool such as Adobe Analytics, Test &Target, and Google Analytics 360 is desired
  • Experience managing P&L for an e-commerce site
  • Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Must have excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate both internal and external resource in a cross-functional and international organization
  • A visionary who is always looking to learn the most cutting-edge methodologies in Web Marketing and in E-Commerce
