Staff Accountant

The purpose of this position is to provide project, day-to-day, and administrative support to all areas of the Accounting Team.


Support the Accounts payable team
  • Scan invoices and attach to appropriate document in SAP

  • Organize weekly payment runs and deliver for approvals

  • File invoices once payment runs have been approved

Support Month End Close Process
  • Prepare month end journals for all entries submitted by the FP&A team

  • Prepare monthly pre-paid amortizations

  • Prepare re-streaming entries for certain vendor invoices

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation for pre-paid & cash accounts

  • Perform all concur credit card journal entries and accruals

Perform T&E Duties

  • Import new users into  the concur system on a weekly basis and assign corporate cards to their respective concur accounts as needed
  • Perform expense report audits to ensure policy is being followed and coding accurate

  • Enforce expense policy to ensure expense reports are being submitted on a timely basis

  • Serve as point person for all concur troubleshooting questions


  • Perform daily cash journals and cash clearing
  • Follow up on all outstanding items

  • Maintain master schedule for all tax and autopay payments

Fulfil other duties as necessary

  • Support the Tax & Accounting Manager with projects and duties as needed

  • Serve as backup to the Senior Accountant on Fixed Asset Projects

  • Fulfil any other ad hoc responsibilities as directed by Financial Control management

  • Create and implement operational improvements and develop documentation to support these improvements

  • Think outside of the box, identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Identify problems and find solutions



What you need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 0-2 years' experience in a corporate accounting environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Adaptable/flexible and able to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

It would be helpful if you also had these:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Internship experience in an Accounting environment
