As Store Manager at Dyson you will be responsible for the store 100%. This includes every element of health and safety and compliance.  You will be responsible for delivering an experiential and interactive space with a calendar of frequent events to drive traffic and keep the store fresh and exciting. Since this is our first store we need to learn all the time.


  • Provide full leadership for the store with full accountability for the performance of the store
  • Create a fun, engaging and ambitious in store culture ensuring the team are involved, valued and recognised for their contribution and are regularly invited to share feedback to improve store performance
  • Will have line management responsibility for the Assistant Store Manager and the store staff
  • Establish and maintain a communication and engagement strategy to ensure store staff are fully informed of promotions/changes/current focuses
  • Spot and develop talent in store to ensure a succession plan
  • Lead by example and support team to deliver an environment for our products to come alive
  • Continuously building product knowledge and keep updated of any product developments and supporting the store team to do so
  • Rigorously review customer shopping patterns, to ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time
  • Drive the sharing and delivery of best practice and act as external ambassador for the company in key local forums
  • As part of Dyson management, you will work closely with the Head of Direct Retail to develop a frequent calendar of events and promotions
  • You oversee operations such as inventory and visual merchandising 
  • Jointly with management you will define and monitor key metrics that define success, from traffic generated to demos delivered to units sold to customer feedback 
  • You will report results and recommend relevant actions to management


  • University degree in Economics with a major in Sales and Marketing or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing sales setting, including leadership experience; cross industry background is welcome, as is a background in event management
  • Fluent German and fluent English language skills are essential 
  • Understands operations, managing work schedules, stock management, compliance, health and safety, security and all day to day requirements of running a store
  • Proven ability to drive amazing customer experiences – and results – directly and through a strong team 
  • Experience in identifying trends, reporting results, drawing relevant conclusions and recommending action to management
  • Experience in building, developing and leading a team
  • Diplomacy, countenance and the ability to adapt to challenges while remaining calm. Ability to consistently deliver great customer experiences – no matter what the situation
  • Must be a strong project manager who is proactive, highly organized, excellent at multi-tasking, comfortable under pressure
  • Able to work effectively as a team member and across multiple teams
  • Experience in developing, planning and executing events/drive interest and footfall
  • Experience in developing promotional programs that drive sales, either direct or through partners
