As a Structural Analysis Engineer, the candidate must have the capability of performing FEA, Moldflow analysis and providing proposal to engineering solution. Candidate is expected to have great attitude, have the willingness to learn and adapt in order to make up good complement for current Structural Analysis Team.
This is a very busy and highly demanding role, but it also offers huge self-improvement opportunities.
This person will be participating and mentoring engineers in the development of new Dyson products; from the evaluation of new technologies, high fidelity data analysis and robust solution implementation in final product.This person will need to work closely with cross teams on both structural and Moldflow related risk analysis.
This person will bring experience of best simulation practice and approaches in verification and validation of simulation platform.
To provide cross project support, offering advice on simulation and validation for product structural integrity and Moldflow analysis, to improve subsequent iterations of the product design.
To be a mentor for junior Structural Analysis Engineers and consultant for other Designer Engineers in terms of best practice of structurally optimized and Moldflow design solutions.
To provide supports and advices to formulate robust engineering proposals based on the verified and validated simulation result.
To support the development of verification and validation framework for Structural Analysis Team.
To ensure complex physical simulation, hand calculation, analytical, experimental and simulation approach are simplified to ease the understanding across teams
To identify technical challenges and develop methods that could enhance the reliability of product from the perspective of fatigue, stress and drop.
To be ready to lead initiatives under NAFEMS development framework with team members, to ensure learning by sharing for complex physical problems and delivering practical solutions in real life engineering challenges.
- Degree/Master/PhD in Mechanical Product Analysis and Development or Material Science
An Engineer, with several years of working experience in mechanical development and analysis.
Proven to have the technical leadership potential and skills in the last technical position.
Have a thorough knowledge of polymer and composite material data, mechanical integrity and ability to encompass the understanding into the analysis software using CAD/CAE tools, ideally NX.
Have great insight of structural mechanics and experience with Moldflow injection moulding tool design.
Advanced in understanding of simulation software, preferably ANSYS and general coding skills.
Good proficiency in English including technical presentation skills.
Have the ability of multi-tasking and good planning from managing high stress projects to mentoring roles.
Be a hands-on Senior Engineer i.e. capable of developing solutions that are tailored to product requirements.
Support multiple development projects based on strong sense of priority and system thinking.
Being a self-starter in exploring new software.
Have experience in formulating frameworks under SPDM and virtual engineering.
Have right attitude in terms of preparation of prototype and sensor placement for testing
Have great passion on simulation work to prove ideas via hypothesis, analysis for engineering solution.
Great sense of technical focus and priority.
