Early Career Talent is crucial to Dyson’s future ambitions and we’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead to oversee the attraction and recruitment for our Engineering, Commercial and Group functions’ intern and graduate programmes within the UK.

Working as part of a Global Early Careers team, you will report into the Strategic Head of Early Careers and be at the forefront of delivering the Early Careers agenda for the UK business. Supported by a small team of Talent Acquisition Partners, you’ll be driving marketing initiatives, defining the candidate experience through the delivery of professional, personal candidate management, and managing the assessment events to ensure the best candidates are engaged and influenced to join us.

This is a broad and varied role so you’ll be getting hands on, influencing senior stakeholders, and supporting them through new ways of working. So there’s plenty of scope for you to bring your creative ideas and shape our evolving early careers programmes.


What you'll be doing;

Team management;

  • Support team of Talent Acquisition Partners to meet business hiring targets through engaging, consistent and relevant processes, ensuring a candidate experience reflective of the excellent quality of customer service we are known for
  • Drive continuous improvement mindset by encouraging feedback on processes and opportunities to implement change
  • Provide ongoing professional development conversations to identify strengths and generating self-driven action plans for improving focus areas

Stakeholder management;

Stand out as Subject Matter Expert on all things in the Early Careers world to ensure we stay connected and can steer the business appropriately

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant business partners, including within wider People team, to ensure understanding of and commitment/alignment to overall Early Careers objectives
  • Secure buy-in of Hiring managers/stakeholders to ensure resources are available as required for engagement and assessment activities
  • Provide recruitment activity progress updates to interested parties to raise profile of Early Careers and maintain engagement within stakeholder population
  • Network externally to ensure market knowledge of best practice in Early Careers recruiting is current
  • Support Strategic Head of Early Careers to share best practices into market and enable global alignment


Ensure we are at the right places, at the right time to build relationships and our profile to attract the best talent

  • Bringing your market knowledge, you’ll identify partners within target universities for relevant business area – both academic and Careers personnel, clubs and societies
  • Responsibility for the execution of on-campus activity, ensuring a targeted approach to drive high quality, low volume of applications
  • Monitoring ROI of attraction activities, ensuring best use of time and resource by reviewing successes; monitor costs, internal feedback and contacts gathered from marketing events

Application Screening & Assessment Processes-

Manage the process for candidates, for Dyson and for the team to ensure we are consistent, accessible, responsive and impressive at all stages

  • Ensure systems and processes are set up, defined and aligned with Dyson Values to ensure consistency in screening to identify high calibre candidates
  • Continually review end to end recruitment process to ensure fit for purpose, enabling efficient screening to quickly identify priority candidates
  • Become Applicant Tracking System expert, automating processes and communications where possible, sharing as best practice to wider team
  • Supporting Talent Acquisition Partners to identify what good looks like quickly and empowering them to make informed shortlisting decisions,
  • Track campaign process through ATS data to provide status reports to stakeholder reallocate resources where applicable


  • Production of Management information and completion of board data reports as required
  • monitoring, forecasting for upcoming financial year
  • Supporting on Induction and Development Programmes for new starters with Early Careers Talent Development Manager


What we would like to see from you ;

  • Extensive Campus/Graduate Recruitment experience, responsible for end-to-end recruitment cycle
  • An inspirational team leader, working with a ‘can do’ attitude through hands on delivery, with a willingness to roll sleeves up and “muck in” to achieve broader team goals
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management to drive a change in ways of working, promoting strategic approach and business benefits of having Early Careers Talent in an organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, network and seek out specialists
  • Creative thinker, able to contribute ideas to solve problems, define/develop more efficient ways of working
  • Experience of collaborating with university faculty and careers teams, comfortable presenting to groups and acting as an ambassador for an organisation
  • Previous experience using applicant tracking systems/candidate databases and online assessment tools
  • A strong communicator - excellent English verbal & written communication skills, great attention to detail, enabled with IT skills to include MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Resilient, comfortable with ambiguity and dynamic pace of work


  • Competency/Behavioural based assessment experience
  • Experience of assessment centre scheduling, facilitation and assessing with group exercises, role plays, presentation exercises etc.
  • British Psychological Society Level A test administration and interpretation trained
