Description

Technicians are needed to support PC design teams, enabling engineers to develop products more efficiently. With lab equipment ownership, the labs will be suited for purpose and available for engineers to use them when needed. With clear owners, the equipment will also be maintained regularly, ensuring minimum downtime.

Accountabilities

• Support design teams in modification of rigs and prototypes • Perform development testing in accordance to test methods and report the results • Test equipment build support • Support test team with unit on test issues • Support design teams in FRACAS and Field Return investigation. • Own and manage equipment in RDD labs • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and rigs in timely manner • Store housekeeping including hazardous goods and battery storage • Work with RDD Admin to support PE’s with facilities aspects of build planning • Operate common workshop equipment like CNC machine, lathe, drill, etc • Perform and operate CMM measurement equipment

Skills

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering • Practical experience and knowledge in a workshop/machining house or RDD mechanical development environment • Good level of literacy and numeracy skills • Strong organisation, planning & time management skills • Ability to work independently • Good communication skills
