Dyson have a rich heritage of cutting-edge design and are renowned for creating ground-breaking and stylistic products. There is now an exciting opportunity for a Additive Manufacturing Finisher to join Dyson’s world leading Research, Design and Development Campus based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
About the role
The primary function is to hand-finish 3D printed components of various sizes and complexity which have been produced on various 3D printing machines and process them to a high standard
Unloading build platforms and preparing clean platforms for use for all 3D printers (SLA/SLS).
Loading and unloading automated parts washer.
Processing 3D printed components to an agreed standard.
Inspecting of parts, checking of all components before progressing to next step.
Ensure high quality of parts, delivered within agreed lead times.
Ensuring quality is not compromised.
Reviewing assigned workload and where potential delays are foreseen, communicating this to managers.
Where appropriate, effectively communicate delivery schedule updates.
Analyse and develop new practices/procedures in executing the role.
Where part faults are identified, contact, and inform management.
About you
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Ensure Health and Safety procedures are always followed
Work experience in 3D printing would be advantageous.
Able to work safely around chemicals and equipment.
Hands-on experience in a workshop environment
