Assistant Business Planning Manager

About us

This position is required to deliver annual targets of Dyson Japan by identifying and reporting on key indicators of sales performance (Sell In, Sell Out, Stock, investment, market opportunity) through rhythm of Dyson business. This position will also play a critical role in business planning by cross-functionally working with Sales, Marketing, SCM and Finance aligning with company strategy with quick and flexible adjustment.

About the role

1. Build budget and forecast for indirect business・Responsible for an annual budget process integrated by Dyson’s global and local strategies to each  accounts and support to build an annual joint business plan to reflect the strategies
・Responsible for a monthly forecasting for each account by category; ensuring risks and opportunities are well identified and quantified to deliver the required results
・Support the improvement of ROI for promotional investment or discount activities in each account to ensure more consistent performance
・Collaborate with various level of stakeholders in other internal groups to deliver maximum outcome2. Deliver landing forecast with risk and opportunity ensuring the accuracy・Manage accurate monthly landing in each accounts – balancing Sell in, Sell out and stock by month and by category, capturing risk and opportunity
・Support effective investment by developing efficient models or tools for promotion spending from ROI perspective
・Work closely within/out of sales organization to drive efficiency and increasing profitability3. Develop ad-hoc analysis and reporting based on business priorities・Develop analysis and reporting of business performance to support an agile decision making and to drive improvements in our sales performance
・Assist in creating or improving report infrastructure, caring about stability as well as scalability
・Interact regularly with sales organization and other groups of the company to obtain better insights

About you

Skills / Competencies - Ability to understand financial issues in an environment of rapid growth- Expertise collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful insight to drive business improvement- Methodical business planning capability - Superior proficiency with common Microsoft Office application such as advanced Excel (i.e. Formulas, Pivot table, VLOOKUP functions), PowerPoint and Word skill is required; VBA skill and experience on database for analysis are a plus  Attitude / Culture - Proactive, engaging and self-starter - Team player with capability of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and other functions- Superior attention to detail and accuracy  - Ability to prioritize workloads and successfully manage multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines- Comfort with ambiguity and creative problem-solving- Ability to succeed in a collaborative attitude   Education / Experience - Degree level education required - 2-3+ years’ relevant experience with finance or sales planning that required forecasting, gap analysis and reporting financial result- Extensive experience of conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis- Experience in consumer industry (better in Electrical merchandiser market) is preferred
