At the heart of Asia, expansion is the decision to create a strong Dyson team in Southeast Asia (SEA) to support an expanding business and tomorrow’s growth markets. The Singapore office will provide the vision and strategy to Dyson’s business in SEA, covering key markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, & growth markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. The SEA team will also replicate the success of Dyson’s growth so far by launching disruptive technology with strong propositions through perfectly executed integrated marketing campaigns across the region.
About the role
This role supports brand building, product and marketing communication for all Dyson product categories, with a key focus on the Singapore market.
Must have good knowledge of the market, ability to work closely and collaboratively across all internal functions to deliver business goals, volumes and profit contribution, as well as with external partners such as media agencies and content partners to execute marketing plans
Supports Senior Marketing Manager in selected Environmental Care category projects in SEA, through close collaboration with key stakeholders across global, regional and local teams to ensure timely delivery of assets and campaign readiness
Go-To-Market for Singapore –all categories
Media Planning - collaborate with Singapore marketing team and functional teams such as Social Media and Analytics, to develop strategic and robust media plans.
Managing the media agency, and any other key media partners, to develop plans which allow Dyson to gain market share, positive brand attributes and sales growth.
End-to-end management and execution of paid content partnerships (e.g. advertorials and influencer campaigns) – from strategy, agency management, to partner selection, budgeting and reporting.
Asset development through our global transcreation agency, Hogarth, or the regional Center of Excellence (COE), where necessary.
Market analysis - identify, and align with the marketing team, on any consumer and market knowledge gaps, review key data points regularly (GFK, store surveys, sales reports, search trends, Brand Health Tracking, etc) to monitor market growth or competitor threats, and to inform go-to-market plans and tactics.
Below the Line activities - collaborate with the Singapore Sales team to plan, coordinate, and measure the implementation of trade marketing activities such as consumer launch events, Dyson Demo store activities and marketing support for retailer-led campaigns. Responsibilities include:
Working together with the Sales team to ensure sales activities integrate with marketing plans, creating a seamless brand experience for future Dyson Owners, and maximizing marketing ROI.
Development of assets, including working closely with CoE to develop in-mall marketing assets.
Monitoring competitive activities, tracking frequency and types of promotions taking place in the various trade sectors, documenting such activities for analysis, reporting and future reference purposes.
Category Management, Environmental Care, SEA
Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the execution of go-to-market strategies and plans including new product launches, advertising creative etc.
Monitor competitor and market analysis for the Environmental Care category, including product and claims analysis, to identify opportunities and support the team in developing counter strategies
Support competitor testing and research needs, if any
Build effective working relationships with stakeholders in the Global and APAC Environmental Care team to ensure alignment on plans
About you
Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
4-5 years marketing experience required, ideally in Product/Brand and Trade Marketing
Understanding and experience in omnichannel marketing is a pre-requisite to this role
Good understanding of Singapore’s media landscape, KOLs, cultural nuances and working experience are in Singapore.
Fluency in English both written and spoken is a pre-requisite for this role
The ability to read and write Mandarin is a bonus for this role.
