About us

Dyson has a strong and influential Quality, Safety and Sustainability business function.  Within Quality, the New Product Quality department collaborates with Design, Development, Operations, Procurement and Commercial to drive forward advances in both product reliability and product satisfaction on all projects across all categories before launch. 

Within the New Product Satisfaction team, we put the user and product at the centre of what we do working collaboratively with Research and NPI teams at the early concept stage of development of Dyson’s future disruptive innovations. We gather and analyze consumer and product insight to support the development of product attributes and targets before validating these through trialing ahead of product launches. We then monitor and assess the satisfaction performance of products, providing a closed loop process feeding back into future projects.

About the role

  • Design and management of large scale, global product trials.

  • Day to day management of a global community of trialists.

  • Triaging and prioritizing issues escalated by trialists through to Dyson RDD teams.

  • Building relationships between Dyson and its partners.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction is considered and measured on all Dyson products.

  • Communicate insights in a meaningful and impactful manner to all relevant stakeholders.

  • Take a proactive approach in the generation of ideas –present ideas and concepts to senior management.

  • Contribution to the future development and growth of the community platform.

  • Use proven Dyson methodology, insight techniques & discipline to deliver robust solutions in agreed timeframes.

  • Communicate between all relevant teams internal and external to Dyson to ensure effective & timely input.

  • Own/contribute to team/department level initiatives & change projects.

  • Challenge & develop Dyson quality practices to continuously improve customer satisfaction.

About you

  • A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience with degree qualification. Relevant industry experience but no formal qualification also considered.

  • Experienced in one or more of the following:

    • Setting up and running multi-market projects.

    • Running large scale user trials using techniques such as dog fooding trials

    • Question and survey writing

    • Managing a large community platform

  • Able to interpret S/W and H/W issues raised by the community of trialists, triaging them effectively with technical specialists across the business.

  • Strong stakeholder management

  • Inquisitive and able to spot links and trends in data streams.

  • Ability to interpret information and convert key findings into meaningful business recommendations.

  • Patient with a mentality that thrives in fluid, dynamic and often unstructured environments.

  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence discussions and outcomes.

  • Excellent presentational skills and the confidence to present to senior managers.

  • Able to work with and communicate across all levels of the business.

  • Ability to interview and or moderate 1:1 or focus groups.

  • Familiarity with Tableau, survey software, and advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience working at a consumer technology company.
