The team is responsible for a range of communications from public relations and business, products and launches to internal messaging and events.
About the role
We are looking for a creative, organised and unflappable storyteller to join the Floorcare & Professional team. You will be an integral part of the global team supporting across all NPD campaigns. The successful candidate will have an outstanding understanding of the media and influencer landscape globally. They will be hands on, have exceptional project management skills, be a great writer and have a real nose for a story – particularly as all non-NPD storytelling will fall within their remit. They will therefore have an innate ability to hunt out inspiring stories surrounding the RDD process, weaving together multiple narratives, and a working style that inspires and motivates their colleagues globally to achieve unrivalled performance.
This role can be based in London or Malmesbury – if in London 1-2 days a week will be based in Malmesbury.
What you’ll be doing:
With the guidance from the Global Head of Communications (FC & Professional), this role will support with the project management and ideation surrounding NPD campaigns. You will focus on telling stories around Dyson’s problem solving core technology, the category, people, places and the Dyson philosophy. Ultimately we want to promote the good news, and manage the bad to inspire other influential people to spread the word on our behalf.
This person will support the creation of insight driven campaigns and help create campaign toolkits that champion the engineering story. This involves early integration with RDD and commercial, strong cross-functional working with commercial and building strong engineer relationships This role will also support global measurement of NPD activities.We want this person to harness every story telling moment to stimulate reach through true integrated 360 comms. This means embracing story telling through media relations, the Dyson Newsroom, influencer approaches plus integrated workings with social, digital, content, retail and OE teams.
- Experience in communications and marketing disciplines
- Cross-functional campaign management: experience of operating within cross-functional communications campaigns.
- Multi-platform: Experience working across a range of multi-media channels with competency in digital marketing and social media.
- Project management skills: including experience of working across complex multi-stakeholder initiatives and a basic appreciation of the resource planning process
