Medical Affairs serves as the scientific bridge between the industry and the wider medical community. This function is uniquely tasked with managing external relationships with key opinion leaders within the scientific community across a range of therapeutic specialisms, as well as with patient-consumer groups, authorities and beyond.
Clinical Affairs are experts in clinical research and by integrating into an innovative engineering company, focus is on designing new methodologies and gathering essential evidence to drive new product category growth.

About the role
You will be a Biostatistician based in Singapore, working as part of the Global Medical & Clinical Affairs team.
You will be responsible for all the statistical aspects related to clinical trials conducted, ensuring high quality deliverables from protocol and study design to Clinical Study Report (CSR).
You will be responsible for developing processes, procedures and work instructions for the Biostatistics tasks and activities pertaining to research activities including clinical trials.
You will develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAP), including the definition of derived data sets and the design of templates for statistical tables, figures and data listings for CSR.
You will assist Data Management and Clinical Research in the design of case report forms (CRFs), databases and data management coding conventions as necessary and write quality control specifications.
You will conduct statistical analyses, interpret results and prepare statistical summary reports.
You will ensure inspection readiness by maintaining complete and up-to-date trial documentation, verification/quality control documents and programs.
You will provide appropriate statistical input for regulatory submissions and respond to statistical questions raised by regulatory agencies and legal challenges.
You will present statistical-related updates to internal team members, cross-functional teams as well as vendor and CROs/sites.
You will be involved in bench research and early translational research activities.
Some travel may be required.

A Masters or Ph.D. level education in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, or another relevant discipline.
Minimum 4 years of experience within the Medical Devices, Cosmetics, CRO, Pharmaceutical or Biotech sectors.
Strong statistical capabilities pertaining to clinical trial design and statistical analyses.
Expertise and practical application in multiple statistical methodologies.
Knowledge of SAS programming and/or other relevant statistical programming.
Knowledge of CDISC standards, including SDTM and ADaM datasets.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with great attention to details.
Ability to work independently, creatively and with drive to make the clinical research team efficient and effective.
Team player and good communication skills to be able to work closely with a range of skill sets within the project team.
Previous experience in overseeing statistical vendors/contractors.
Exposure and/or interest in emerging technologies with an application to clinical development, such as machine learning and digital health.
