About the Role
The key focus of the Brand Manager is to lead the overall management of the relevant category across Australia & New Zealand, whilst leading the team to bring strategies to life in order to deliver commercial goals and category growth.
The role requires a strategic focus to support a high growth portfolio within the business, with an expectation to deliver strategies and tactics that will significantly scale awareness and penetration of product, drive conversion quickly into sales, and deliver sustainable growth.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
Own the category strategy development, deliver communication and media strategy and campaigns; inspiring campaign briefs and working closely with Agencies and our global team to ensure all relevant media measures and communication platforms address the business objective
Lead annual category planning process
Lead New Product Development (NPD) process and Go-To-Market strategies
Lead an integrated campaign approach including steering the creative, PR, digital, social, retail and brand experience team and ensuring that all touch points aligns with the strategy and plan
Partner with key functions within the Dyson business to develop and execute with excellence your commercial plans
Manage research initiatives to validate marketing campaigns where required to deliver implementation plans
Conduct competitor analysis and monitor competitor strategies and recommend adjustment to brand plans where required
Conduct post analysis on all projects. Use data to draw relevant learning and insights, to course correct strategy where required. Be vigilant to ensure brand building investment (BBI), delivers optimal ROI
Identify opportunities, and develop and drive initiatives/campaigns that will increase the commercial impact of the category
Manage project budgets and ensure all spend is within forecasted investment
Manage range planning, volume forecasts and P&L to ensure project is commercially viable
About You
The successful candidate will be commercially focused and solutions orientated bringing their can do approach, positive outlook and the ability to work in ambiguous situations. You will be a self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks with a diverse range of priorities and problems.
Previous skills & experience:-
Marketing or related tertiary degree (business/marketing)
Solid experience in brand and category management
Demonstrated experience in launching big NPDs (incl. consumer target & insights definition, product positioning, go to market strategy and implementation)
Experience in managing complex media plans
Strong commercial acumen (full P&L understanding, experience in calculating ROI, budget management)
Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills
High level of communication skills both verbal and written
