Team Purpose: The Business Development and Transformation team aims to drive growth by aligning our enterprise business model to our strategic objectives, pioneer profitable revenue streams, services and experiences for our owners, and support and empower a culture of change and transformation for our people. 

The How: We design new business models that deliver best in class experiences to our owners and create more compelling reasons to engage and consider Dyson. We develop and scale a culture of insights, rapid prototyping along with exceptional executional competency leading to full-scale commercialization. We bring together research, design and business to innovate and pioneer in the Americas. 

Who You Are: A senior consultant and Super Individual Contributor, able to strategize, coordinate and execute the business plan to launch Latin America in 2023. You are a multi-disciplinary expert in various domains, from SKU planning to Go-To-Market and commercial negotiations. You are an excellent project manager to coordinate multiple functional workstreams with senior global stakeholders. Your goal will be to seed successful and sustainable launch seeds in market, allowing for more growth acceleration in 2023 and beyond. 

About the role:

This person will lead the launch of commercial B2C in Latin America, as part of Americas Business Development growth initiatives. 

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES:  

 

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of Dyson regional strategies in Latin America. With a focus on our B2C business, you will be responsible to manage the overall launch of Dyson consumer products in Latin America. This full-scale commercialization project will include building the business requirements across all major functions to deliver the launch plan. This includes: 

  • Operations (manufacturing, supply-chain, logistics) 
  • Information Technology Infrastructure (Front, Back-end and support systems, hardware) 
  • Category (SKU planning and ranging, certifications) 
  • Commercialization (building key partnerships with marketplace and travel retail players, maintaining and managing the relationships from contracts to BAU), Finance and Legal (including tax, accounting, customs, duties, pricing and performance management) 
  • Marketing (including performance media, PR plan, social, content) 
  • Owner experience (customer satisfaction, after-care) 
  • Data and insights 
     

Project management and Coordination 

  • Working with multiple global stakeholders, you will build and lead the decision-making Steerco to get leadership alignment into the plan, create and enforce the timeline management of the overall project, identifying key milestones to track and success against forecasted deliverables 

 

Influencing and Collaboration across global  

  • This role needs to collaborate extensively with local, regional and global stakeholders to leverage functional expertise, gather feedback and share learnings on a periodic basis. Functional areas will need to be pulled in to drive the launch agenda on project progress. Externally, you will remove obstacles to deliver the business plan.  

 

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.   
  • 10+ years of relevant experience including proven record of go-to-market commercial experience  
  • Strong understanding of all major functions in the organization and how they come together 
  • Prior experience in a high growth direct-to-consumer or E-Commerce or retail business required 
  • Prior experience working in Brazil and/or LATAM (required) 
  • Prior experience working with Travel Retail retailers
  • This position requires exceptional project management skills to coordinate both internal and external resources in a matrix organization 
  • Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 
  • Advanced knowledge/ proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required, as well as other project management methodologies. 
  • Deep knowledge of Latin America markets and understanding in business practices 
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency a very strong plus 
  • An innovative thinker with a proven track record of growth hacking 
  • Exceptionally organized, detailed and planned 
  • Self-starter, highly developed ability to receive and give feedback as well as to set priorities.  
  • Objective, enthusiastic, committed, flexible. 
  • Diligent/conscientious.
