About The Role

The BDM for Hotels, Workplace and Education will specifically focus on selling into Hotels, Offices and Educational Establishments with a focus on Dyson Premium Technology. Across these sectors there will be a focus on building the knowledge around Clean Air and how Dyson purification can improve Air Quality within these spaces along with our transformative Beauty Category. 

Deliver GM sales targets and volume  

  • Develop an annual business vertical plan that sets out the key strategic aims for Dyson within the vertical across the key Product Categories with a transparent target list 
  • Agree, update, communicate and administer all areas of the vertical plan   
  • Manage a marketing budget in line with forecasts and promotional activity for the sector 
  • Deliver an accurate twelve-month rolling forecast that accounts for sales trends & seasonality
  • Use of CRM system to forecast and deliver against set targets for the sector

Deliver compelling, well thought through and inspiring presentations to our customers 

  • Become the Expert within the Dutch B2B business across these verticals
  • Create meaningful relationships with customers that allow future sales and an increase in the Dyson reputation within the vertical 
  • Construct bespoke “Customer winning proposals” to solve the problems they currently have  
  • Hold regular face to face meetings with Key customers within these verticals 
  • Organise and deliver quarterly vertical reviews between senior personnel at Dyson and key customers 
  • Work with internal departments to drive through agreed customer initiatives

Manage all areas of the Customer/Dyson partnership 

  • Effectively manage a network of contacts within Dyson and the customer across different functions to ensure that accounts are set up and managed and orders placed/delivered correctly. 

Manage Terms and Negotiations  

  • Align the organisation to your sector and negotiation objectives 
  • Communicate and deliver against an agreed timetable 
  • Ability to construct/seek support for potential Global opportunities within the sector 

Deliver a high quality of work and contributions to the overall team 

  • Lead through example and demonstrate leadership in all team meetings 
  • Coach and motivate less experienced team members 

About You

  • Target driven mindset  
  • Business Development experience (4-5 years) 
  • Excellent lead generation skills and knowledge of
  • A people person who can develop relationships with customers to help grow sales
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships 
  • An effective, concise communicator, with strong negotiation skills 
  • Assertive and able to overcome objections 
  • Confident presentation skills 
  • Target driven mindset
