About us 

As the Business Operations Manager, reporting to the Head of Business Operations (based in Singapore), you will be accountable for developing and maintaining comprehensive product launch strategies across a portfolio of products, coordinating with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure effective market launches, manage risks, and support project schedules while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.

Whilst the Home BU portfolio is large, this role is focused on ensuring our plans are proceeding aligned to the Home BU and wider enterprise strategy. To realise this vision, you will need to partner across Dyson, and be a key interface for Upstream, Engineering, Operations and the wider Home Business Unit. In this environment, clear and considered plans and schedules are critical to guide the business.

This role is based in Singapore to enable proximity to key markets, internal development teams as well as external development partners.

About the role 

  • The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of the health and feasibility of both upcoming and post launch projects within their category.
  • Enable clear decision making on product launch strategy, through the development of launch planning scenarios, working with counterparts across namely engineering, operations and commercial.
  • Ownership of Launch Status Report publications and leading the integration of product launch activities to ensure effective launches across all our markets.
  • Ensuring the Product launch strategy is frequently maintained to the Market volume demands, with buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Supporting the various Project teams with the development of integrated Project schedules, that deliver to the required launch strategy.
  • Maintaining and managing the product launch risks, actions and issues tracking, assignment to the appropriate owners and ensuring visibility of risks are communicated to Home BU leadership team.

About you 

  • Experienced in managing Projects from their conception to launch, with a broad understanding of Project Management Principles (i.e. risk, resource, budget management, etc.).
  • Adaptable and resilient in the face of challenging situations.
  • Strong communicator; able to convey complex issues concisely and accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build productive working relationships and influence.
  • Driven, passionate and confident in interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Assertive in pressing teams to deliver to their commitments, with a focus on the bigger picture.
  • Credible; ability to demonstrate a good level of understanding of engineering principles in order to work with design teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and in a high paced and ambiguous environment where priorities shift fast.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, self-motivated, thrives in a dynamic environment.
