Reporting into Global Head of Business Architecture, this role will unify the business strategy for Teamcenter and energise the implementation plan across RDD, Quality & Operations business functions. This position will work very closely with the IT department to jointly own the digital delivery roadmaps for Teamcenter and other surrounding applications. 


Siemens Teamcenter is our core PLM backbone application that is mission critical to our global product development (PD) operating model. 


Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Provide thought leadership and be responsible for proposing and implementing a series of large transformational and a continuous delivery train of improvement activities to improve Teamcenter. Working closely with IT counterparts (Technical Product Owners and Solution Architects) and the vendor, Siemens, to capture a roadmap key activities that is backed up with a multi-year rolling plan. 

  •  Capture the vision for our digital backbone across all invested business stakeholders and ensure compatibility of other core engineering process roadmaps that are reliant on Teamcenter throughout the product lifecycle. 

  • Working closely with IT and our procurement teams to strengthen and leverage our strategic partnerships for the benefit of the business and push for the Dyson implementation of their toolset to be the best in the world.  

  • Execute and project manage the up-grade and enhance roadmap that maximises our use of the application’s latest features and functions and gives the business return of investment for this key strategic capability. 

  •  Own all Teamcenter request from the business, feeding them to a managed backlog of smaller refinement activities, participate in weekly Agile ceremonies and support deployment communications where necessary. 

  • Continually monitor and maintain Teamcenter with an ever-changing global Product Development organisation (i.e. renaming and adding, Deliverables, organisational names, workflows and governance panels). 

  • This position will serve to promote best practice use of latest functions and features in Teamcenter alongside the Technical training team to aid adoption amongst the community of end users. 

  • Lead a community of practice that feed the road map and drive the embedding of improvements into PD activities and drive awareness to the wider community.   


About the role

  • You will be recognised as a key contributor in your field with high level knowledge and an understanding of product development best practice across other disciplines.  

  • Strong experience in Siemens Teamcenter Rich Client / Active Workspace. 

  • Help bridge organisational silos to align development and operations to create a DevOps culture of shared responsibilities with IT and business. 

  • Technical, personal and leadership credibility to work effectively with cross functional RDD teams, other business functions and business leaders. Comfortable working autonomously to resolve complex challenges where no precedent exists.  

  • You will have strong long-term thinking skills with examples, understand how to make good decisions and spot opportunities. 

  • An appreciation of the impact of change and what is required to deliver it. 

  • Actively circulate during planning, communicating business priorities to IT teams and maintain agreement and alignment among the stakeholders regarding the key objectives of activities (Weekly sprints to large transformation projects) 

  • Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies. (Agile, Waterfall & Hybrid) backed up by experience of applying them successfully in practice.
