Joining our Hair Care Category Finance Team you will partner the leadership team. Supporting the development and delivery of Dyson’s financial plans by providing finance business partnering throughout the product life-cycle: design, development, launch, sale, end of life.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be ensuring our new product development resources are invested in projects that will deliver an attractive return on investment. Collaborating with a global stakeholder group you will create, develop and maintain financial business cases for multiple projects and chair monthly Finance Health Checks (deep dive business case reviews) with senior leaders.
Working closely with RDD, Design Managers, Group Marketing and Product Costing team you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the Category 5-year plan – forecasting future volumes and P&L based on latest product range plans and business case development. Working across performance reporting, analysis and process you improvements you will be:
Consolidating key insight data to drive business decisions and update business cases
Providing regular reporting and analysis to required stakeholders
Maintaining product profitability data and analysing future product range profitability
Managing the monthly Financial Health Check process for the category and participate in product development milestones sessions
Continuously seeking process improvements and seeking best practice within BAU
Leading and assisting with cross category projects
About you
With commercial finance/FP&A experience, you will ideally have experience within an FMCG or similar fast paced environment. You will enjoy a highly collaborative working environment, supporting and challenging to achieve commercial results. You will also have:
A globally recognised professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA etc.
The ability to understand concepts quickly and manage ambiguity
Excellent analytical ability and Excel spreadsheet skills and able model data in meaningful ways
Good planning and organisation skills
You will ideally have experience calculating financial evaluation metrics, e.g. Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and payback for new product ideas/projects. However, demonstrated technical knowledge of these techniques is acceptable.
