About the role
As the Category Manager for Hair Care you will be accountable for bringing our engineering, technology and products to life through our marketing and communications strategy; increasing brand awareness, driving brand advocacy and generating ROI.
You will ensure that channel strategies and NPD launches support the vision to accelerate the growth of the category in the local market. You will work well with others to deliver unforgettable launches and thrive in fast-paced environments. This role needs to ensure the business delivers against the long-term brand vision, whilst deliver on the short-term commercials, you won’t be afraid to challenge others and trial new initiatives to transform the category and cement Dyson as experts in Haircare.
Develop and execute clear and compelling marketing plans within the category, which will drive sales growth, share gains and positive brand attributes within the consumer market
Analyse customer data and shopper insight to establish new opportunities within the market and drive category growth.
Define consumer targets, develop propositions and initiatives to drive business performance against these audiences.
Conduct competitor and market data analysis, including Go To Market competitor strategies, analysis of product performance claims and media strategies to develop counter strategies.
Develop a deep understanding of the competitor landscape. Own and monitor competitor activity with reporting cadence of marketing activities and product ranges.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to execute go-to-market plans including new product launches, advertising creative, media planning, public relations, in-store execution, point of sale, promotions etc.
Work effectively with the Global team to ensure that there is alignment on strategic initiatives.
Support delivery against P&L goals and objectives
In collaboration with the Sales function, maximize the sales and profitability of existing products.
Develop a strong understanding of the market’s customer opportunity
Analyse in-life product and campaign performance with implications for growth strategies.
Continuously review and reset tactics as required
Explore new business opportunities such as channel strategies and new partner listings
Proactively participate in Joint Business Planning to agree retail plans and communication with involvement in planning, sell-ins and marketing initiatives
5-7 years products or brand marketing experience
Experience in the beauty industry
Capable of managing complex and multiple projects
Be able to influence internal and external stakeholders across a wide range of business functions
Collaborate and be a team player, have excellent relationships with a network of individuals.
Traditional and Digital media experience
High level of Spanish and English (both written and oral)
