About the role
The Regional Planning team is responsible for organization and implementation of a complex Supply Chain operation, which consists of the creation and management of demand and the related receipt plan, inventory management and process control. They plan, implement and control the efficient flow and storage of goods, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements and partner with the different entities within the Region.
Within Dyson's Regional Planning Department, the Category Supply Chain Manager’s responsibilities will be to optimise the demand and supply plan for one of the product categories of Dyson, from a Demand, Receipt and Inventory perspective. The Category Supply Chain Manager works closely with several different departments to ensure the flawless execution of the plan, optimise the distribution network, analyses risks and opportunities and provides insight by modelling scenarios to mitigate shortages and/or maximising profitability.
The ideal candidate is an expert in managing both Demand and Supply and has a proven track record of optimising a planning and distribution network end-to-end from a regional perspective.
Key accountabilities:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the end-to-end supply chain process for assigned categories within the Region
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute category plans and programs that align with business objectives
Partners with the Supply Chain managers in the Markets on market specific requirements
Closely collaborate with the Category Value Chain Planning Managers in the Global Planning team on capacity and production at the Contract Manufactories
Manages the allocations in capacity constrained situations, aligned with stakeholders within the Region
Closely works together with the demand planners to align on both constrained and unconstrained forecast
Partners with Finance on establishing an integrated financial business plan
Contributes to the regional and global IBP process
About you
Strong Academic record in supply chain management or equivalent.
Analytical with complex decision-making skills for modelling and regression analysis
Several years of experience with supply chain within an MNC
Proven track record in process improvement
Strong drive to find creative solutions to new challenges
Demonstrate flexibility and resilience and respond constructively to new demands and challenges.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
