About the role
To support the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen
Maintain consistency of food quality
To train and support other members of the team
To manage orders and stock rotation
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen
Accountabilities
Ensuring all staff are correctly trained and that in-house training is completed
Ordering and controlling food stocks
Dealing with allergens and special dietary requirements
Assisting with functions and events
Stepping up in the absence of the Head Chef
Ensuring all food safety regulations are adhered to
About you
Creative individual with a passion for good customer service and high-quality fresh food
Flexible approach to working hours
Excellent communication and organization skills
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring that your team is performing well
Contract catering experience desirable
Proven experience working in a fast paced, high volume role
Proven strong teamwork qualities
Possess SFA Food Safety Course Level 1 certification
