About us

As Chef Manager you will be responsible for one of our catering locations, delivering a high quality food and service and managing the team.
This role is based at Malmesbury, WiltshireOur Café facilities are open from 7am to 7pm and shifts will be within those operating hours working 39 hours a week Monday to Friday.
Working with the Executive Chef and other Chef Managers on menu planning and design of food service, ensuring a high standard of food preparation, presentation and quality control.

About the role

  • Lead your kitchen and ensure pro-active management of your team
  • Manage all day to day activities within the kitchen
  • Ensure that all staff are working to a high standard and that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy
  • Manage the orders and stock of your kitchen 
  • Support your team to ensure that they deliver a high standard of customer service and serve high quality food products
  • Ensuring all staff are correctly trained and that in-house training is completed
  • Ordering and controlling food stocks
  • Dealing with buffet requests and liaising with Directors and board members
  • Dealing with allergens and special dietary requirements
  • Organizing and running functions and events
  • Make rotas and manage staff holiday/sickness
  • Conduct performance reviews on a 1:1 basis and set goals for your team
  • Assist with menu planning and ensure all menu items are produced to a high standard
  • Prepare and serve high quality fresh food
  • Build internal and external professional relationships

About you

  • Creative individual with a passion for good customer service and High-quality fresh food
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to lead a large team 
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a can-do attitude and ensuring that your team is performing well
  • Proven experience of leading a large team and experience in a fast paced, high volume role 
  • NVQ Level 2&3 or equivalent in a relevant area
  • Contract Catering experience is desirable
