The Digital Workplace Services Team in which this role is aligned exist to:

  • Deliver world class Service Desk, End User Computing, Collaboration, Legal, Payroll, Dyson Institute and HR IT Services to Dyson’s global employees (circa 20,000 users)

  • Ensure ITIL aligned governance and standards are followed

  • Drive continual improvement into the Digital Workplace services space in line with Dyson’s growth

  • Deliver a roadmap for all Digital Work place services to drive transformation required to support Dyson’s blueprint

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the business, ensuring regular communication of service requirements, service improvements, risks, service changes, service outages and service issues.

About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Collaboration, you will be responsible for the solution architectural ownership of all global collaboration technologies.  You will be responsible for defining, creating and maintaining the strategy and roadmap for all collaboration technologies to ensure that it delivers in line with the needs of the Dyson end user and business.  The Collaboration Architect will work closely alongside other Digital Workplace Architects to identify, recommend, develop and support cost-effective, high performing collaboration solutions for all aspects of the Dyson organisation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Defining, owning and delivering against a collaboration strategy and roadmap.

  • Creating high and low level collaboration technology designs.

  • Reviewing any collaboration technical designs and recommendations from any collaboration partners.

  • Develop and deliver short, medium and long term plans for collaboration services that will generate a significant, positive impact on profitability and strategic direction, through improved stability, capacity management, quality and cost effectiveness.

  • Driving adoption and education of collaboration technologies across Dyson globally

  • Ensuring that Dyson’s collaboration technology offering remains fit for purpose and secure

  • Ensuring collaboration services (delivery and operations) are delivered in line with defined governance processes and policies.

  • Delivering Collaboration technology showcases to Dyson (at all levels from C-suite level down)

  • Assisting with the preparation of business cases for collaboration services related projects

  • Participation in Dyson’s technical design authority (TDA)

  • Stay abreast of trends in collaboration technologies.

  • Ensure that all the collaboration designs are created within the bounds of Dyson’s policies and any global legislative compliance e.g. GDPR, PCI etc.

About You

You must be an effective communicator and leader who has the ability to conceptualise, plan, document and communicate effectively up to C-suite level. You will possess energy, develop value added service definitions and help lead change.

  • Expertise and experience in communication, workflow and collaboration tools and Enterprise social networking tools

  • Excellent knowledge of the best available tools, software, applications and systems that support collaboration technologies

  • Deep experience in the M365 suite

  • Deep level of understanding of SharePoint and Power Platform capabilities and technologies including plugins, workflows etc.

  • In depth experience in developing strategies, roadmaps, standards and reference architecture/implementation and support of collaboration tools.

  • Strong leadership business stakeholder and supplier management skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to present ideas and solutions in a user friendly language.

  • Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced problem-solving experience involving identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making.

  • Advanced communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and director level management, including presenting information in a concise and effective manner to management, and various departments using assorted communication methods.

  • Strong research skills.

  • A professional who can provide examples of transforming end user collaboration services within a global company.

  • Ability to set and effectively communicate end user computing strategies, roadmaps, policies and processes.

  • Experience in working with large geographically diverse and dispersed teams.
