Commercial Finance Analyst - B2B & Operations

About the role:

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will act as a business partner supporting the B2B Channel, providing financial leadership through value added financial reporting, planning and analysis. In addition, you will own the financials of the workshop plant and refurbishment process.

Specifically, you will -

  • Work with the B2B Sales Director to develop annual budgets. Support analysis and financial impact of key strategies and initiatives; identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support  B2B team in understanding of financials and develop opportunities to improve profitability of the channel.
  •  Responsible for analyzing monthly business results and issuing the required reports, analysis and reconciliation. Recommend corrective action if tracking short of business targets as well as understand and challenge monthly variances where necessary.
  • Lead the integration of B2B business in to the total Canada Market.
  • Subject matter expert in Canada of Financial cost in the Dyson Workshop and Refurbs operation, including returns, inventory, scrap, repair cost and overall production cost.
  • Provide regular monthly financial analysis and recommend cost efficiencies to Finance Director and leadership team.
  • Support the month end process and P&L management.
  • Own Workshop and Refurb Financial and non financial KPIs
  • Create annual budget for Refurb operation and track performance vs targets.

About you:

A dynamic, enthusiastic and collaborative professional who –

  • Has a university degree, with a finance or accounting concentration
  • Has obtained a recognized accounting qualification or in the in the final stages of working towards it
  • Has 3+ years’ experience in Commercial Finance, Marketing Finance or Sales Finance
  • Is able to demonstrate advanced analytical skills in MS Excel and SAP
  • Is able to build strong relationships across the business
  • Works well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Finds process improvements and efficiencies
  • Manages time exceptionally well, is able to balance and execute multiple priorities
  • Has high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Identifies creative solutions to business problems
  • Acts as a role model for Dyson Behaviours and the Dyson Spirit
