Our Go To Market (GTM) team work closely with Engineering, Insights, Creative, Direct, Owner Experience and Marketing teams across the globe to deliver strategically aligned product propositions driven by scientific research and a deep understanding of our owners and the shopper journey. Engineering is at the heart of our machines and creating impactful campaigns that explain the benefits of our technology to reach new audiences and cut through the noise of highly competitive markets is a challenge. From traditional channels to cutting-edge events, retail experiences, social media, and PR, we seize every chance to tell the Dyson story and share the science behind our technology with our owners.

We have Commercial Managers for each of our categories (floor care, hair care, environmental care, lighting), as well as for exciting new categories that are soon to launch.

About the role

As a Commercial Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the delivery of key product and tactical campaigns. You’ll build relationships quickly across the business to help brief the creative teams and deliver campaign assets to our trans-creation agency. You’ll be involved in managing project timelines, delivering weekly status updates to key stakeholders, and owning asset delivery across a range of key channels e.g., ATL assets, social and digital. You’ll ensure our complex engineering stories are distilled into relatable consumer messages, and that we continue to build on the strong, distinctive tone of voice for Dyson to explain, why Dyson.

You’ll become the product / category owner within the GTM team, understanding its technology, benefits, and the claims we can make to create a successful product strategy. You’ll review and analyse previous campaigns to determine key success drivers, and work with the Markets team to understand the market landscape, role of the product in the range and commercial targets, ensuring that we have strong execution plans in place.

You’ll lead, develop, and deliver campaign briefings and a project campaign kit, setting commercial campaign objectives and scope, working with the channel teams (media, digital, direct, and retail) to get stakeholder alignment. You’ll create a definitive asset list in partnership with Programme Management to brief the channel creatives, to ensure a seamless consumer journey throughout the campaign, to ensure that all assets are delivered in a timely manner to the transcreation agency, and to ensure that media plans align with our global approach.


About you

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
  • At least two years’ experience in a commercial marketing role
  • A passion for Dyson products, able to understand what makes them different and translate complex product technology into an engaging consumer proposition
  • Commercially astute, able to consider what our campaigns and creative must do to succeed across our global markets
  • Highly analytical, able to manipulate data, competent with Microsoft Excel
  • Organised, engaged, fast-paced, detail orientated, a team player, credible, able to collaborate and communicate effectively in English (both written and oral)
