About the role

The Communications Executive will play a crucial role in supporting Communication Manager based in Sweden developing communication and social media plans across market, maintaining direct relationships with the media and influencers, as well as working with selected agencies.

We are looking for someone to tell stories with us, and help execute our communications plans across the Nordics. The successful candidate will hold strong relationships with top tier beauty, wellness, technology and business media within the region. They will be hands on: leading external agencies and their media relations team across the Nordics, covering Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. They will have an innate ability to tell inspiring stories across multi-categories, stretching from product and technology narratives to corporate stories and reputational management, weaving together multiple communications. This role will also involve a degree of Internal Communications management, supporting the Communication Manager as we grow and evolve within the region. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in developing the PR & communications strategy for the Nordics, with a focus on telling stories around our problem-solving core technology, our products, our people and places and the Dyson philosophy. 
  • Highlighting the key media and influencers that we need to build a relationship with to secure gold-tier coverage amongst our target publications, with support of external PR agencies in each market. 
  • Develop PR opportunities across all media and channels with a focus on quality, rather than quantity as well as product reviews. 
  • Oversee a programme of proactive media activity maximizing each and every narrative to build Dyson’s reputation as a global technology company and support the sale of our technology.
  • Produce region specific content in the form of press releases, interviews, Q&As, online content, event materials, etc. 
  • Manage the monitoring, analysis and response to press coverage and social media interactions in the region on a timely reactive basis. 

About You

We know who we are, we are looking for someone who can help up to shape the best strategy based on Dyson’s many and varied narratives.

You will have

  • A digital mindset that lives and breathes social media, influencer marketing and paid media. From Instagram to TikTok, you’re an expert in the field of social media and passionate about coming up with new and exciting ways to reach and inform people about our product. 
  • A detailed knowledge of the Nordics media landscape. Preferable experience of working across borders, working with external agencies
  • You will be open to change in Dyson’s ever-evolving environment, demonstrating the flexibility to pivot and prioritise at pace.
  • A self-starter with strong self-management skills, you will have the ability to juggle a high-volume workload and independently identify priorities
  • A resilient individual, you will have the composure and confidence to deliver under pressure and sometimes to tight timeframes.
  • An understanding of the health & wellness, environment, science and technology industry, including an awareness of broader air quality trends and policies
  • Uses social media daily and is obsessed with new trends and developments.
  • Occasionally work outside of standard working hours and flexible to travel around the Nordics / globally for events, as required
  • Naturally curious and creative, you will be a strategic thinker with a demonstrated track record of delivering to a high quality. Not only do you have great ideas, but you know how to refine them to be achievable and high impact
  • High level of attention to detail and be able to demonstrate success under pressure
  • Be eloquent in your communications. You will bring strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for a variety of uses. Speaking multiple languages is a plus
  • Be a warm, open, and ambitious, able to build a robust network across the business with ease


  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related subject and/or 2+ years’ experience in a communications role – either in-house or agency
  • High level of communication skills both verbal and written (in English & Swedish. Other Nordics languages would be an advantage) 
  • Evidence of strong written communications in Swedish and English
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic and creative thinking
  • Strong knowledge of the Nordics media and influencer landscape
