- United States - Chicago Office
Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We’re growing fast and our ambition is huge – more categories, more locations and more people. Dyson launched in the US in 2002, and since then operations have grown exponentially. Our US headquarters is based in Chicago's Fulton Market. We also have employees working in field sales, our service centers, and in our growing number of Dyson Demo Store’s across the country.
About the Role:
Our Legal Team is seeking an exceptional, collaborative and enthusiastic junior attorney to provide a wide range of transactional and legal support to Dyson’s fast-growing business. This is a role with high responsibility that provides an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills and contribution as part of a dynamic and ambitious in-house legal team. As Corporate Counsel, you will report directly to the General Counsel, partner with various Dyson departments (including Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain, among others) and support other Legal Team members to provide a wide breath of legal services.
The ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with business partners at all levels across the enterprise as well as with colleagues on the Legal Team is a must. Ideal candidates for this role will have in-house or law firm experience supporting consumer products and/or retail clients, strong business acumen, excellent counseling skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. This position will afford invaluable experience and the opportunity to develop the ability to take a strategic and business-focused approach to complex issues within a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
Dyson learned an early lesson in the value of legal might, winning a grueling battle against Hoover when it infringed our early cyclone technology patents. Our in-house legal teams have been at the forefront of Dyson ever since. From the information security experts and IP teams doggedly protecting our ideas, to the commercial lawyers and procurement specialists who solve our toughest business challenges across the world, to make sure Dyson stays ahead.
