About the role
Reporting into the Head of Retention Analytics, you will provide valuable insight into customers’ behaviour at different stages of their relationship with the business.
You will make recommendations on registration and relationship strategies for different customer segments and help to initiate and implement CRM initiatives that will boost brand and customer loyalty. A key aspect of the role will be collaboration with the Retention team in creating engaging campaigns that can be measured and conducting the pre-campaign analysis. You will be:
Responsible for hands-on modelling and analysis of CRM activity; understanding performance and explaining the story behind the numbers
Preparing data sets for the analysis by querying multiple data sources
Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to create insight-driven campaigns that optimise customer sign-up and lifetime value
Delivering customer insights and make recommendations by performing post campaign analysis
Driving continuous improvement in the tools and techniques used for analysis
Identifying opportunities to improve business/owner engagement performance
Using abstract thinking and problem-solving skills to identify business opportunities and pinpoint problems
Answering business questions using data and analytic techniques, providing fact-based responses
Creating new measures and dimensions within the data as needed to solve the problem at hand

About you
Success in this role requires excellent analytical thinking and communication skills, an ability to summarise results and present recommendations to business partners, project management skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
Extensive experience in a data analytics role, ideally in CRM analytics
Experience beyond e-mail an advantage e.g. SMS, Social, live chat
Degree in science, economics, mathematics, computer science, or statistics
Strong communication skills with an ability to build narratives from data and present recommendations to improve future data strategy and uses to project teams & senior stakeholders – driving actionable change for the better
Exceptional data wrangling skills dealing with complex datasets to combine and automate the analytics workflow
Strong Knowledge of SQL, experience in reporting tools Looker / Tableau or similar
Excellent understanding of KPIs, business processes and data context with the capability to interpret data and drive business conclusions
