We have a continuous focus on transforming and managing all aspects of security - including architecture, engineering, technology risk management, cyber operations, end user security and project delivery. We invest heavily in new security capabilities (technology, processes and people) and leverage our strong cyber ecosystems to tackle future threats. 

Product Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, eCommerce and Enterprise IT Systems are at the beating heart of Dyson’s cyber defence priorities. We play a key role in ensuring the successful design and delivery of exciting new business and security projects, and that our controls and security platforms remain effective and compliant.  Furthermore, our cyber operations capabilities are delivered on a global 24x7 basis from our strategic locations across the US, UK / Europe, India, Singapore and China. 

Cyber Security Transformation plays a key role in our cyber team, and is responsible for delivering a range of complex change programmes across Dyson.  This Job Description relates to the Cyber Security Portfolio Manager role, which is a critical position in this function. 

Job Overview: 

We are looking for a seasoned Cyber Security Portfolio Manager to join our global delivery team. The Cyber Security Portfolio Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the execution of large-scale, high-impact security projects and programs while aligning them with our business objectives. This role is crucial for advancing our organization's project management maturity and influencing our strategic goals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the development and effective management of the company's cyber security project portfolio, ensuring all initiatives are strategically aligned with business objectives. 

  • Accountable for the full cyber security project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, including administering budgets, mitigating risks, and managing changes impacting various functions or regions. 

  • Identify, develop, and maintain stakeholder engagement strategies and plans, facilitating open communication and ensuring effective business decision-making processes. 

  • Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for strategy development and planning, supporting stakeholders in adhering to the approach. 

  • Monitor the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies, assessing impacts, threats, and opportunities to the organization. 

  • Ensure service delivery meets agreed service levels, diagnose service delivery problems, and establish and maintain operational methods, procedures, and facilities. 

  • Lead activities required for the realisation of the benefits of each part of the change programme, ensuring alignment with expected benefits. 

  • Conduct financial planning, budgeting, costing, accounting and charging, monitor and manage expenditure, and examine areas where budgets and expenditure exceed agreed tolerances. 

  • Implement demand management analysis and planning activities, maintain a register of business requests, and report on the status of each request. 

  • Provide effective leadership to project teams, adopt appropriate project management methods and tools, manage the change control process, and assess and manage project risks. 

  • Conduct business process improvements, design business processes to identify alternative solutions, and improve efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Manage the innovation pipeline and execute innovation processes, developing and adapting tools, processes, and infrastructures to drive the process of innovation. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred. 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading and delivering large-scale cyber security programmes 

  • Track record of delivering all aspects of cyber security transformation – including technology, processes, and culture 

  • Excellent understanding of key cyber security technologies 

  • Experience of leading the implementation of cyber security technologies and capabilities – including Security Operations, SIEM platforms, threat intelligence and vulnerability management 

  • Experience of cyber security project delivery in a large-scale retail, manufacturing or IT organisation would be a distinct advantage 

  • Solid understanding of financial management principles and practices. 

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills. 

  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks, make strategic decisions, and influence organizational strategy. 

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and the ability to assess their impacts on the organization. 

  • Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
