Dyson Connectivity is responsible for defining a world-class Connected strategy, product and owner experience in the Dyson Link App, to help take this amazing technology to market, explaining how our machines are different and their benefits. We never share the stage, where we demonstrate our machines and their superiority we win. We are also responsible for the development and delivery of the Connected features within the Dyson Link App and Cloud.  

 

The next period of Dyson’s growth will see us taking our technology into more markets, doubling the business and quadrupling Direct. It will see our Owner base grow rapidly and a focus on both acquiring more Owners and retaining the Owners we have.

Connectitivy will rely heavily on harnessing the power of data to provide insights back to the various areas of the business – NPI, RDD, Customer Services, Owner experience and GTM teams, to help make data based decisions. Connectivity will also help us provide a more agile, mission based operating model. One which will enable us to continue our journey but in a more structured and efficient ways.  

 

We are on an exciting data journey where our emphasis is around providing a better usage experience for our Owners. To this end, we are investing heavily in brining together machine, app and owner data to bring bespoke recommendations – whether it beign help/support/guidance/repair/parts/machines – to our owners when they need it.   

 

 

Accountabilities 

 

The main job responsibilities include: 

  • Data analysis 

  • To analyze and interpret data relating to marketing activity, to identify insights in respect of consumer behavior and content performance 

  • To make actionable recommendations in aid of commercial & digital strategy and creative work 

  • Build and develop customer profiles to segment audiences more effectively  

  • Use profiles to create datasets for local markets to activate campaigns and optimise engagement with consumers across different channels 

  • Uncover new opportunities and insights through deep understanding of data manipulation techniques 

  • Driving data-driven transformation 

  • To support and localise the roll-out and market up-take of connected capabilities through education, training and engagement 

  • To gather and understand market  and function requests and requirements into self-serve tools, insights and guidance  

  • Support KPI development, targets tracking and use of data for accurate and value-added reporting 

  • Platform Development 

  • Create new models as required and determined to serve the business needs 

  • Work across teams (local and global) to ensure relevant data is being captured and fed into requirements to grow and develop the data sets 

  • Feed the reports required to show the evolution of the dataset health 

  • Privacy, Standards & best practice 

  • Work with the Privacy and Trust team to ensure alignment with global data quality standards 

  • Monitor data availability to ensure compliance with global SLA’s 

  • Guide new data projects in market to ensure best practice application 

 

Skills / Experience Required 

 

 

 

Skills: 

  • Hands-on experience of using SQL to interrogate data.  

  • Previous experience with BigQuery and the GCP suite, 

  • Able to utilise BI tools, especially Tableau and Looker for visual analysis and dashboarding 

  • Proficient in data mining; able to find patterns and trends in data 

  • Able to complete complex analysis or use advanced statistical models (e.g. regressions, clustering) in problem solving 

  • Good understanding of data flows and requirements between different systems 

 

 

Competencies: 

  • Excellent knowledge of data and how it relates to marketing activities-- Digital, CRM, Media and Social 

  • Ability to understand, analyse, report on and present/visualise data in an engaging way 

  • Ability to spot issues and trends, and make recommendations  

  • Ability to develop evaluation methods and use testing frameworks to support the team in performance measurements and optimization 

  • Passionate about resolving challenges and driving improvement 

  • Confident presenter and communicator
