Environmental Care (air purifier, fan, heater, humidifier) has ambitious plans to scale our existing product range. To maximise our potential, it is essential that Dyson demonstrates credibility and evidence superiority within specific fields, at both a global and local market level with a relevant approach. The Breathe London Wearable and Lockdown activities using our leading mobile air quality sensing backpacks has positioned Dyson in the ambient air quality space and contributing to our credibility. Our unique 4+ million connected air purifier products across the world are gathering indoor air quality. Altogether these data enable a better understanding of our exposure, in association to product behaviour it allows harvesting insights for our global markets and for our internal teams. The impact will be achieved by translating data solutions better than ever before through persuasive demonstration of technology benefits in a consumer relevant format underpinning Dyson’s core values.
About the role
As the Data Analyst you will support the development and delivery of insights demonstrating product and technology benefits in a format our users would be able to understand. This will involve the management and prioritisation of requests and identifying end-to-end owners’ relevancy with the required local granularity. Data Visualisation is key for conveying meaningful communication and impact across global markets and internal stakeholders. As a global market player, you would need to consider the local, social and cultural aspects to ensure the activation is relevant to the specific market needs and deliver the required impacts.
Accountabilities:
In delivering the best results, you will challenge the norm, bringing new ways of working to improve the development and execution of our data for technical and non-technical audiences
You will need to translate business need from our stakeholders into data requirements
Collaborate with a network of internal data teams including IT, Global Connectivity and NPD to develop our digital reporting capability including reporting tools & resources, sharing best practice and escalating risks & issues when they arise
Enhance our science story with content that impacts our owners with pioneering visual formats to underpin our insights that matters
Delivering the data in a useful and appealing way to all levels from peers to VPs
About you
A minimum 2:1 degree in Computing or Physics / Engineering
A first experience in analysing data (1+ year) - beneficial
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills associated with accuracy and attention to detail
Critical thinking: able to look at numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions and concepts based on the findings
Experienced with SQL and data visualisation software e.g. Tableau, Looker
The ability to understand and exchange technical information across a wide range of technical teams without being the subject expert
Business value driven: ability to self-prioritise when multiple reporting demands are received. Forecasting demand can be challenging so a degree of prioritisation is required.
