About the role
The Demand and Supply Planner is responsible for the availability of inventory to support the sales plan, ensuring that inventory levels are optimised across the cluster. The Person is responsible for identifying issues such as excess or low stock and driving through the decision making to resolve it, and supporting all decisions with the appropriate information and reporting. In addition the Demand and Supply Planner is facilitating the Demand processes at Market level to produce a consolidated 18-month rolling forecast for Finished Goods and Accessories. Ensuring the adherence to the Demand Planning methodologies, the role of Demand Planner is to challenge commercial assumptions where appropriate, whilst managing the correct and timely submissions in Anaplan/Kinaxis. Working closely with the Sales (Retail, Direct and Professional) and Marketing teams, Finance Controller, Sales analyst and Logistics.
Identify demand planning improvements and rolling out best practice across all clusters for FG&A
Understand customer (direct and retail) product range, promo plans (retail/Dyson) and their impact on demand
Establish root causes to drive out forecast inaccuracy
Align market plans with availability to ensure achievable sales plan
Give demand direction to the markets
Kinaxis management for
Lifecycle management- NPD, exclusives, phase in/phase out
Support ad-hoc sales activities
Validate market demand against promo plans/historical data etc.
Lead the plan creation for excess stock if required
Being the connection between SC demand and all market functions for FG&A
Facilitate in-market allocation per demand stream and retailer
Facilitate the demand plan for refurbishment for cluster
Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
Ensure communication with central functions for cluster priorities for stock
Ensuring that inbound containers are prioritised against stock and sales plans
Monitoring of receipt plans, providing regular update on inventory levels and flagging in case of short term stock issues are foreseen with the market
Defining the market allocation from the cluster allocation, and ensuring that stock receipt plans reflect this
Producing out of stock reports and other stock reports and distributing to all relevant parties
Ensuring product availability on relevant storage locations in line with forecast, order book, and/or allocation
Managing the execution of Excess/EOL stock
Being the connection between SC inventory and market functions for all queries and reporting requirements
Identify problems and find solutions
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Proven experience and passion in driving Demand and Supply Planning processes
Strong knowledge on Demand and Supply Planning methodologies and principles
Strong reporting skills, including advanced Excel
Knowledge of SAP ERP - S/4Hana, SAP BIP and Kinaxis is an advantage
