About us

The Global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team is responsible for organization and implementation of a complex Supply Chain operation, which consists of the creation and management of demand and the related supply plan, inventory management and process control. They plan, implement and control the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements.

About the role

Within Global Planning, the Supply/Demand Planning Manager – Professional will be part of the planning team managing the Professional business of Dyson. Supported by the planning systems, he/she will focus on the demand trends, range patterns, SKU patterns, and product cannibalisation to enhance predictability in the Professional business.  Based on that demand, the Supply/Demand Planning Manager creates the supply plan, oversees the execution and will be the link between Operations and Commercial (Professional business)

The ideal candidate boasts excellent analytical skills, a passion for crunching data to support business strategies, as well as an affinity for converting business requirements into actionable forecasts and supply plans.

Key accountabilities:

  • Responsible for sales forecasting based on Statistical Time Series forecasting models (Prophet, ARIMA, LSTM, ETS, MA, and foundational statistical models such as Exponential smoothing, Holts winter’s model, etc.) for various Markets

  • Creating demand models based on business insights research & sales analysis

  • Partner with the Professional team on quantitative patterns, seasonality and events

  • Creation and management of the longer-term supply plan

  • Partner with Finance on establishing an integrated financial business forecasting and supply plan

  • Integrate demand signals and their quantitative effect on the overall sales forecast and supply plan

  • Understand the reporting needs of the Professional business and facilitate the development of standardised reports.

  • Continuously improve the way of working, both from a process and a system perspective

About you

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematic, or relevant experience in a quantitative field

  • Experienced in longer term supply planning and forecasting

  • Experience in dashboarding tools like Tableau or similar tools preferred.

  • Able to make analytical recommendations and provide business insights to the senior management

  • Ability to translate complex data into understandable trends and market patterns.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience and respond constructively to new demands and challenges.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
