About the Role
The Digital Business Manager/Senior Manager (C&O) plays a key role in driving commercial success across all our Digital Business (Dyson.com and marketplaces) in APAC.
The incumbent needs to possess knowledge of the levers that affect online sales performance and know when to apply which levers to help our markets reach their goals. S/he will also need to collaborate closely with key stakeholders within the APAC Markets and Group Functions to drive the agenda of continuous business efficiency and sales improvement.
This role will also be managing and training a team of fresh graduates as part of our early career’s program and play an important role in embedding a culture of test and learn in the organization, nurturing the next generation of eCommerce specialists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The 4 main areas of responsibilities are 1) Trading & Commercial, 2) Business Improvement & Project Management, 3) Stakeholder Management & Reporting, 4) Training & Elevating.
Trading & Commercial
- Co-own marketing activity calendar with local and regional eCommerce Trading team for forecast of key eCommerce metrics based on marketing activities
- Plan for demand by channel, by category with the market, forecast risks from target and develop plans to mitigate risks alongside the markets, closing gap between targets and estimates, and increasing forecast accuracy
- Develop rolling quarterly sales plan by channel, by category, with markets to ensure achievement of targets
- Work with regional and local digital analysts and other functional leads to team draw insights from data across site performance, performance marketing, product performance, merchandising, pricing, promotions, channel mix, traffic, conversion rate, average order value etc, net promoter score and shopper journey to identify sales improvement opportunities
Business Improvement & Project Management
- Own APAC wide business improvement programs and provide regular reporting for key projects
- These include both operational and commercial projects that increase efficiency on various parts of ecommerce operations, and lower costs to serve for our digital channels
- Facilitate regular trading calls to gain deep insights on challenges in local markets and actively work towards solving them with help from functional teams and global teams
- Collaborate with regional functional leads (e.g. CoE and Marketing) and global teams (e.g. Platform, IT, Owners Experience) or projects monitoring and tracking of optimization opportunities
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Lead regional Direct Trading meetings with global, regional, market and functional teams
- Support trading performance reporting with senior management
- Create forum for market and functional sharing on pulse of business and/or learnings
- Work with global, regional and local digital analysts and finance team to develop regular reporting of APAC sales performance
- Act as bridge between global direction for ecommerce and what needs to be executed on the ground at the local market level
Training & Elevating
- Build eCommerce business management capabilities at the regional level and enhance capabilities at the market level alongside each markets’ eCommerce heads and Directors
- Work with DBI Manager (Analytics & Insights) to onboard and establish regional training for all RACE team members
- Identify and build RACE team to support ecommerce trading at the regional and local markets and/or functional level
- Create and manage ongoing cadence of reporting and accountability of local RACE team members to the region and their local teams
About You
- Min. 8 years of experience in the eCommerce business management, ideally across both .com and marketplaces in the Asia-Pacific region
- Experienced with tools such as Tableau and Excel, Google Analytics, GTM, Data Studio, Adobe Analytics,
- The ability to distil data into simple themes that are appropriate for senior and/or non-technical stakeholders
- Strong business acumen
- Good understanding of digital analytics, sales performance related metrics, ecommerce related metrics able to identify trend and distil insights to enhance site performance
- Collaborative nature, ability to influence and facilitate productive conversations across multiple cultures and preferences
- High level of communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to ever changing business needs
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent business presentation skills and high attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
