About the Role
The Direct Commercial Manager is responsible for driving the commercial performance of our Direct channels, partnering with channel leads to ensure we achieve the best results possible. From Sales Operations, to Customer Facing execution, to strategic sales planning, this role will support the Head of Direct in all areas of Commercial Management, unlocking sustainable growth of our Direct Business.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
Assist with execution of strategy, development, and day-to-day management of the Direct business
Partner with the Demand team to prepare for monthly Demand Reviews by analysing sales forecasts against historical sell-out data and leading indicators. Ensure forecasts align with financial objectives, and re-plan as needed
Ensure stock and supply is adequate to achieve commercial objectives and ensure positive customer experiences at all times
Partner with Finance to ensure commercial operations run smoothly and we are tracking Financial KPIs daily
Assist the Commercial Manager in devising the optimum promotional plan for the Direct Business. Review past performance and feed insights to optimise future plans with Demand
Partnering with Category and Demand to influence ranging, unique offerings and promo plan
Assist with developing and implementing new offers and incentives
Prepare for and co-lead month business reviews per Direct channel, ensuring financial analysis is conducted and that meetings are insight-driven and action oriented
Lead in month estimate process with Direct channel leads, understanding risks, opportunities, changes and providing strategic direction
Provide the Head of Sales an accurate in month estimate of Volume and Gross Margin forecast vs target
Partner with Finance and Business Intelligence teams to automate, speed up and smarten reporting, systems and tools
Administer all areas of the promotional planning cycle including owning the documentation of plans and communication of these
Consistently challenge the status quo and seek to better things where you see opportunities

Previous skills & experience:-
Experience in a similar role is required
DTC, Retailer or Sales Account Management experience is preferred
Experience working for an international organisation is preferred
Experience working with fast paced environments without embedded systems and processes
Advanced Microsoft suite capability, especially Excel
