About The Role
Reporting to the GB&I Finance Director, and based from our office in Bristol, this is a key role within the GB&I Finance team supporting the Direct Commercial team, a key pillar in the future of the market. This role will play a key part in facilitating the strategic revamp of the GB&I market, which will be crucial to achieving the ambitious commercial and financial goals over the next few years. You will be the key finance business partner to the GB&I E-com Director.
You will:
- Identify drivers of Gross Margin delivery, providing value-adding insight to optimise plans
- Pro-active support in joint business planning, including ongoing tracking of volume drivers and conversion rates
- Maintain continuous dialogue and collaboration with commercial stakeholders and guide them through internal processes
- Gain a strong grasp of the GB&I strategic plans and understand the role of Finance in ensuring that the strategic benefits are realised
- Aligning key stakeholders to risks and opportunities where appropriate
- Play an active role in the monthly planning cycle, ensuring that commercial teams understand and adhere to planning assumptions in order to build a coherent forward looking view
- Support strategic growth drivers
- Help upskill commercial teams and create full P&L ownership
- Management of customer spend, through Vistex and month end journal postings, accurate to product level as well as variance analysis of actuals to plan
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Business Partnering experience within an ecommerce environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to challenge the status quo and a track record of improving processes
Prior experience in forecasting/budgeting/planning processes
Advanced knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
Excellent analytical ability with a great attention to detail
A team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
The ability to operate in a fast moving environment where plans often change on a weekly or even daily basis
Good communication skills with the ability to make Financial information accessible to non-Financial leads
Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise workload and ability to work to strict deadlines
You will have:
Direct Retail Sales Business Partnering experience
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Previous exposure to Senior Stakeholder management
Investment Appraisal/Financial modelling of commercial decisions
SAP/OneStream experience
