About the Role 

As Ecommerce Logistics Executive you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our Ecommerce operation. Collaborating with our eCommerce teams across Dyson.co.uk, Marketplaces and 3rd party pure players you will maintain stock allocations and orders to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time. You will also work closely with the internal logistics team, external warehousing and last mile delivery partners and third party logistics teams to ensure all parties are aligned to intake plans and forecasts.

Function objectives:

  • Maintain Ecommerce allocations and supply/demand planning for 3P Pure Play and D2C Ecommerce accounts
  • Support account managers with up to date information regarding arrivals/delays to inbound shipments
  • Actively monitor the stock position of our accounts sharing opportunities across sell in and sell out with the relevant account teams


Responsibilities:

Manage Direct stock levels and locations, ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time

  • Actively working with the account team to allow them to understand the stock position and highlighting projected sell-through dates (showing an understanding of risks due to stock versus performance) 
  • Consulting the Ecomm team as to whether there is a risk of going out of stock, when new stock will be available and highlighting opportunities to optimise the website from a stock perspective
  • Recognising opportunities from allocation, performance and new availability
  • SLOB and accessory clearance, suggesting opportunities to the account teams as to how we reduce these
  • Stock reconciliation versus performance and stock movements, establishing the closing stock position and potential benefit to business to allow for over-performance or activity in the coming months


Summarise and support the allocation process for Ecommerce accounts

  • Summarising the allocations to the account teams, the changes and potential pull forwards / pushbacks
  • Working with logistics team to understand and track which receipts have arrived as well as which are delayed
  • Booking orders and moving stock to relevant locations, aligned to the allocation – reporting ordered, booked and remaining allocation position
  • Take an active role in supporting with building the next month’s LE, from an availability perspective and highlighting opportunities / risks

Supporting ecommerce teams to improve commercial and service performance

  • Delivery to promise; ensuring our customers are receiving the products when they expect
  • Liaising with the logistics team and directly with delivery partners where appropriate to improve performance wherever possible
  • Raising new pricing requests as necessary
  • Discovering and rectifying oversells of products, especially during peak and periods of high sales velocity
  • Actively working with the channel teams to allow them to understand the stock position and highlighting projected sell-through dates (showing an understanding of risks due to stock versus performance).
