Team Dyson forms part of our Australian Sales Team and is a national team whose objective is to drive sales and build brand advocacy within our key retailers. Our demonstrators are known internally as Dyson Experts. They specialize in delivering an exciting and compelling service, demonstrating our full range of products in our retail partner stores.
We now have more than 4,000 Experts and Stylists around the world. And the number is growing. The team is the frontline of our retail operations and often the first direct contact our customers have with Dyson. And it’s important to make a good first impression.
About the Role
At Dyson, we sell by demonstrating. Through our spaces within our retail partner stores, we simply explain how our technology works, and why it’s better. Our Experts are Dyson advocates who know our technology inside out, and are excited by it. They are the face of Dyson, connecting our world leading and pioneering technology with shoppers and owners.
As a Dyson Expert you’ll be based in one of our retail partner stores and will report into a Regional Manager. You’ll be responsible for achieving a sales conversion target and will achieve this through showcasing the Dyson range of products in all categories, and generating interest and excitement around our machines. You’ll uncover shoppers needs and match those needs with the right products, transforming them from a shopper to a Dyson owner.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
Deliver hands on demonstrations with our customers, showcasing the unique benefits of Dyson products across the Floor Care, Environmental Control and Personal Care categories.
Utilise the 4E’s How to Sell framework when interacting with customers in store, through Engage, Explore, Explain and Execute
Utilise the How to Sell framework and ongoing coaching from Regional Manager to proactively achieve Monthly Volume, Conversion & Premium Mix targets in store
Proactively approach customers in store, question and generate interest around Dyson products that are suited to their individual needs
Educate and provide guidance on supporting products and/or parts
Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising in your area, always looking for opportunities to increase Dyson in-store presence and reporting and display machine issues or fixture maintenance requirements
Execute and display point of sale material in store
Ensure you have sufficient stock levels, with all Dyson products out on display and in working order with the correct price
Build strong relationships with store management and staff, ensuring consumers are directed to the Dyson brand even when you are not present
Report to your Regional Manager on a daily basis sales vs target and provide feedback on products, sales, promotions and competitor activity, making recommendations where appropriate
Completing accurate reporting at the request of the Regional Manager & escalating issues in a timely manner
About You
You will bring your strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate complex information simply along with a keen interest in technology being able to communicate how machines work differently. You are hard working and possess an ambitious approach to all that you undertake.
Previous skills & experience:-
Customer service and/or sales experience
Experience within a premium retail environment is advantageous
An understanding of retail principles such as visual merchandising and sales targets
High standards of personal presentation
A confident approach and a friendly, engaging manner
Ability to work independently
Time management skills with the ability to multi-task
Determination, passion and drive for results
