About the Role

The Dyson Stylists within our Beauty Lab | Flagship Store are responsible for providing an exceptional styling experience for our owners. They are our product advocates, who will bring the personal care category to life for Dyson owners proving exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide a styling service that exceeds our shopper’s expectations

  • Each appointment booked includes; wash, blow dry and styling of the customers hair within a 45 minute session

  • Ensure appointments start and finish on time

  • When there are no clients, ensure store presentation, cleaning and stock fill is up to date

  • Be able to use the POS and book in clients when required

  • Build and maintain great relationships with internal and external customer to influence and contribute to the development of the business

  • Ensure sales reporting and recording is accurate

  • Be accountable for your sales targets and work to meet the Store sales targets

  • Meet daily and weekly KPI’s. KPI’s fall under the following categories: Customer Service, Sales, Product Knowledge, Styling sessions per day

Compliance

  • Achieve a standard of excellence in our work processes and outcomes, ensuring adherence to Dyson policies and all relevant regulatory and legal requirements

  • Have a valid RSA certificate

Fulfil other duties as required

  • Pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role

  • Fix things that you can see need fixing

  • Identify problems and find solutions

  • Promote and demonstrate Dyson behaviours

About you

You will be an expert stylist who is proficient at styling hair of all types. You will have a high level of communication skills both verbal and written and well developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player, driven by creating an innovative customer experience directly and through a strong team;

Previous skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as a hair stylists, specifically being an expert in: wash, dry and styling

  • Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent

  • Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity

  • Excellent presentation skills and high attention to detail

  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure

  • The ability and initiative to work independently

  • Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed;

  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 30lbs.
