Within our Wiltshire based Malmesbury & Hullavington Campus’s we have several different environments which include offices, RDD and Manufacturing. As we redevelop and improve our portfolio, it is important to have an independent team that can apply some consistency with respect to compliance and quality. Validating operational performance and driving efficiencies across the business.
Working within the Electrical Safety team, the role of the Electrical Verification Technician will provide technical overview and conduct initial verification and testing to Dyson products, Laboratory test equipment & office equipment. Within your role you will identify technical faults following recognized standards & our team guidelines.
The electrical Safety team have their own test facilities across both sites where you will be based. There is a requirement to provide electrical safety testing across the Malmesbury & Hullavington Campus visiting lab owners and organising testing via our internal booking team.
About the role
Ensure the electrical safety of lab/ office equipment throughout the UK RDD sites (In-service inspection & testing of electrical equipment).
Contribute to production and delivery of technical reports against required IEC/ BS Standards
Input all findings onto an internal software platform and maintain all records with team members
Inspection & verification of machinery/ test rigs.
Inspection & verification of prototype products.
Supporting the progress of designs through product life cycle
About you
Experience in Electrical/Electronic engineering or comparable discipline along with demonstrable experience.
Technically qualified and experienced in electrical equipment testing. City & Guilds 2377 Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment (or equivalent)
Exposure of IEC 60204: Safety of Machinery – Electrical Equipment of Machines
Good working knowledge of Health & Safety
Ability to understand electrical schematics
Experience in fault finding
Proven ability to test products for compliance with worldwide standards
Demonstrate strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Self-motivated, problem solver who can work proactively to identify issues and propose solutions.
Experience using computer systems to input, retrieve and update relevant data.
Proficient understanding of Office365.
