About the role 

The Electronics Engineer role involves supporting building and testing of the electronic circuits for new products in Dyson’s Haircare product category. As a member of the UK Haircare Electronics group based in Malmesbury, England, you will work in multi-disciplinary global project teams to develop and deliver the electronics test systems for products being developed.

The role will require a highly motivated, creative, methodical, and flexible person, ready to take on challenges with a pragmatic approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and development of electronic test systems and fixtures.

  • Collaborating with colleagues in the UK and South East Asia teams on test requirements for new products.

  • Communicate technical information to design and verification engineers.

  • Perform tests on prototype electronic/product designs.

  • Recording and documenting your work to a high standard as defined by the Dyson engineering framework.

  • Test data analysis and reporting.


About you 

As a Electronics Engineer you will have had experience of developing and using test systems for complex electronics design. You will be capable of working to generate high quality test solutions and debugging electronic designs and prototype products.

  • Experience of electronics test system building.

  • Experience of soldering and re-working small and complex electronic circuits.

  • Knowledge of electronic circuit debugging tools and methods.

  • Degree qualified in a relevant electronics discipline.

  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary project team.

  • Experience of schematic capture and PCB layout, using tools such as Altium Designer, to create simple circuit/interface designs.

  • Experience of the National Instruments suite.

  • Experience of scripting language, such as Python.

  • Experience of CAD for test fixture design.
