EMEA Communications Executive

Dyson’s EMEA region has strong growth ambitions both in business and geography, spreading across new markets.

The EMEA Communications Executive supports the EMEA Head of Communications to manage a geographically spread out and culturally diverse team, ensure that the department runs smoothly by proactively improving ways of working and internal and external communications.

If you are well organised, people focused, and a natural storyteller, this could be a role for you.  It will be fast paced and sometimes stretching.

Ultimately this is a stepping stone to a communications focused role in our global team so we are looking for someone with plenty of ambition.

About the role

General responsibilities

  • Be key point of contact for Group Communication category, corporate and internal stakeholders. Support in maintaining seamless flow of information between central and market teams

  • Manage EMEA teams biweekly update calls, own agenda and follow up points

  • Develop, create and maintain EMEA communications documents / reports/analysis 

  • Collation of press coverage for reporting to EMEA President and Exec team

  • Compiling and maintaining EU coverage trackers, boards and books

  • Identify opportunities to bring markets together on similar campaigns/projects

  • Supporting EMEA comms teams on regional projects and events

  • Supporting local comms teams on pitching for specific product or corporate campaigns

Internal communications

  • Community manager for EMEA Internal Instagram account : select, post and moderate content, drive awareness of the account, coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and  accurate management of the platform

  • Support EMEA Senior Internal Comms manager in establishing the IC plan for the region

  • Own internal regional updates, gathering necessary information from markets and share with Regional President and Exec team

  • Be proactive in setting up team activities to stimulate engagement within the team.

Admin & finance

  • Management of EMEA licences and subscriptions (e.g. Poppulo, Klear, Meltwater...) and be the regional champion for those platforms, ensuring efficient usage from all markets.

  • Managing email distribution lists and Teams channels for the EMEA communications teams.

  • Ownership of new joiners induction programmes within the Communication function

  • Management of the PO process for the Dyson EMEA communications team

  • Responsible for the setting up suppliers and prompt payment of all invoices

  • Assisting with budget tracking and liaison with the accounts team

Travel and Logistics 

  • Travel booking for EMEA communications team

  • Circulating the monthly whereabouts of the EMEA communications team and coordination of the visits with the local teams

  • Coordination of all EMEA team events (eg: Media days, EMEA summits): management of attendance, agenda, logistics on site…

About You

  • Understand Dyson: our technology, our products and what makes us tick. You’ll be an expert at demonstrating all that is different about Dyson. 

  • Show the utmost discretion and professionalism.

  • Manage projects and events, you’ll be fastidious in your organisation and have an eye for the detail. 

  • Be confident dealing with people, numbers, words and admin. 

  • Work up, down and across the Dyson world – in particular you will bring together the various teams spread across multiple markets.   

  • Be willing to tackle any challenge, perform the odd magic trick, but also make a few mistakes along the way.

Skills and Experience

  • You’ll have relevant experience of providing administrative support to a team, whilst establishing effective office systems and procedures.

  • You’ll have good IT skills, strong organisational experience with an ability to prioritise workloads whilst coping with a high pace working environment.

  • You’ll be a natural storyteller who is, confident and relaxed dealing with anyone. Interested in news and current affairs – able to discuss the latest events with Dyson’s most senior leaders.

  • You’ll have an inquisitive and creative mind.

  • You’ll be hard working, unflappable and passionate.
